How do you stay motivated to keep working on your models? Every time it gets tedious I jump to another project.

Is the Kytan Ravager any good? It's main cannon looks solid and either 15 (!) S10 AP2/Dd3 or five S20 (!) AP4 D6 attacks are awesome, and it can gib most any titan-thing in Merle, but 501 points ain't cheap.

Dont do a bunch at once. I have been working on painted my Flayed Hoes for 3 days and I only have one finished. Do it in the early evening when the sun is still up, do it outside if its not that bad, humid, or otherwise yuck. And take pride in your work.

Anyone used Electropriests in the new edition yet? I saw the rules and decided to make a whole bunch to play countercharge and deal with big beasties and Primarchs, but I doubt I'll get any use out of them this week since I'm still on #8/20. Shame, if they were finished building by Wednesday I could try out the new mission and deepstrike a full score of them onto the enemy's face, which would be fun.

I won, but he killed an additional 70 power worth of demons before collapsing in front of my lines.

You mean if there's no location it can go it's minimum move without overlapping a model's base? Yes., you can't stand a flyer on top of other models (For a host of good reasons) and a supersonic flyer is destroyed if it doesn't move minimum distance.

It just makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Why would FUCKING THINGS ON THE GROUND cause a flyer to be destroyed or run off from battle? If anything the flyer should force infantry to pile out so they aren't directly underneath its vents or something.

No, Blood Raven squads have 1 mechanic each. Their techmarines are more teched out.

It's not just infantry, other flyers, monsters and vehicles would also do it.

Yeah, they're pretty fun. Be careful though, no matter what buffs they've got the fuckers have 1 wound and T3, and as such some spare bolsters can ruin their day.

So run in multiple squads of 7-10 and get to melee ASAP. Preferably hop from combat to combat, and focus on elite stuff- you're better off against measly 4 attacks from a dreadnought than 20 from some marines, cause AP and D mean 0 to you

Anyone have any advice for running Black Templars? I've lost 7 games in a row now, and it seems like I never have enough units to even stand a chance.

Fulgurites are absolute monsters. Pick on a weak unit to smash them to bits with mortal wounds in the charge phase then finish them off to activate a 3++. I've seen them destroy entire units of gaunts on the opponent's turn and march on unscathed. Sucks if your opponent targets them first though as they will drop like flies early on.

I've tried that exact list, your avengers will die to bolter fire on turn one. Since foot eldar have so many deployments you'll go second and not have any of your psychic buffs. Either find a transport for them or drop your list to 4 or less deployments so you have a reasonable chance of going first.

Also foot dark reapers need to deploy hidden, or they'll be taken out too.

So, question:

Guardsmen or Custodes? After another abysmal game with my Admech, I'm looking for another army to fill the void.

As for Guard, I like the idea of heavily mehanized force that goes straight into the enemy, while being supported by fast moving tanks like Hellhounds or Banewolfs. I also hear a IG book is in the works.

As for Custodes, If I play marines, I want to play marines+++. The Chads who show the chadlets and marinelets whose daddy's REAL favorites are, and can fuck up pretty much anyone in CC while Sisters of Silence ride their Guardian Spears. Plus, I hear that they just got a new phamplet in their box.

Any advice on either? If I go for Chads, I'm thinking about picking up the ToftE box for cheap Transports. Only question is, which HQ should I use?

In 7th, if they were hit with a lascannon they laughed and laughed and laughedIn 8th, if they are hit with a las cannon, it probably rolls high enough to just kill him
