Reposting from the previous thread. This is a slightly updated version. I fixed a couple typos (no promises I caught them all) and endeavored to answer a couple questions and respond to a couple concerns (like changing slightly how the minivan's cargo works and providing a bike-friendly on-the-road charger option for the laptop.)

I'm fairly sure it's real. Small town, got disgusted with their mayor, had not real opposition candidate, then were surprised how well the town ran with a literal figurehead.

Eins seems like the Harry Potter equivalent for our world. Not sure what the point of Zwei is, because it sounds like a sort of limbo. It doesn't explain what kind of world it is. If anything I'll choose Drei, not because of lust but because that is most interesting. I hope a lot of fetishes are included.

I'm starting to mistrust and dislike the narrator by now. The gifts are nice, and owning up to your mistake is thoughtful. But there is too little explanation given, just superficial kindness.

When you get the vehicle, do you get the one in the pic of the CYOA or you can have one of your contemporary time? (I mean since the towns are set in the 80's)

Why is there no SUV or Motorcycle vehicles? I mean the SUV is the most capable off-road vehicle and I could picture situations when you need to stay off the road

Since you mention there are police enforcers in a companions bio, do they help you if you are in troubles? are they regular humans like everyone else or are they some supernatural force? could you kill them in the middle of the road for their weapons and get no repercussion?

The Baltic States are much more likely to be EU allies than aligned with Russia considering their long history of abuse at Russian hands. Hell, you're more likely to get Poland siding with Russia than the Baltic States, especially these days.

There's basically nothing socialist about the countries you have in red. Hell, Germany and France are way more socialist than Russia is. Aside from that, you've got a bunch of people who wouldn't be caught dead on the same side as one another.

Probably. And I had a lecture about that very topic this week, so I thought I'd give my two cents. Can't hurt to point it out, beyond someone calling me an autist on Veeky Forums. Worst case we get a more interesting map because the factions don't have a clear frontier.

Your vehicle is presumably yours from outside so it could be significantly more modern. GPS won't avail you as mentioned in the opening but a slightly better onboard entertainment system probably could, The pictures are mostly the baseline of the form.

I mostly picked the base car types to provide some variety and a balance between storage (for large items) and passenger seats. Most SUVs would be Sedan+ though if I were to insert more vehicles I might be able to swing 4 passenger/2 item/offroad bonus. A motorcycle is trickier since it has very limited storage (probably the same Large Items as the bike) and still only permits 1 or 2 passengers depending on if it's got a sidecar. I could consider cracking these for a future update but I'd consider it done for now.

Check Page 3 for "The Fuzz". Fuzz and local law enforcement could probably help you against a few hazards like Bates Motel that are more human in nature and thus the purview of law enforcement. If you kill someone, especially a cop or Fuzz in the middle of nowhere you'll probably have to contend with The Fuzz in force sooner or later. I wouldn't rule it out as strictly impossible, but getting away with murder wouldn't be easy.

In a hypothetical conflict between Russia and the EU, Britain siding with Russia is virtually guaranteed. The UK has made it pretty clear that they want to break the Franco-German bloc that currently controls the continent. And more than that, a weak, fractured, and chaotic continental Europe has been the cornerstone of British strategy for literally centuries. If that requires joining the Russians to destroy the EU, then they'll do that.

Because swinging by the Fate universe, shapeshifting up a bazillion magic circuits for protection spells, and coming back to your own universe will get you out of just about any situation anyway.

Honestly the bike might be better. It's the same 6 hours either way but the effort of a bike should make it slightly less boring at least, plus you aren't quite so confined to the road.

You also don't have to pay for gas

The only threat with eternal is literal gods (like the narrator). Poem might protect you from that as well, but it shouldn't be enough of an issue to sacrifice the Watch anyway.

I don't see why it couldn't be a feature of the Sports Car (half travel time+immunity to speeding tickets), or else some kind of item or companion could simply make time pass faster, or a road feature could make towns closer together.

It's still the same "road trip", just with more frequent stops.

I actually grabbed the Walkman for my bike build, simply so it would be less monotonous between towns. Although I’m a bit concerned about how safe it is to be unable to hear well, even with the bike + Walkman protections

Because having every town be exactly within 6 hours drive and always one tank of gas from one another feels too systematic, to structured and samey. Unnatural, and not in a spooky way.

The Black Box seems to offer no protection for passengers. Is it permissable to intentionally wreck your vehicle to go back 24 hours to get a chance at saving them? Also what counts as a violent death? Anything that's not sickness or starvation/dehydration/exposure or is it more limited than that.

The tech of the towns is 80-90ss. No attachments.

My guy-what happens when your car inevitably breaks down?A six hour drive without speed limits is the sort of distance that you can easily die from dehydration trying to walk, and it looks like these small towns don't have car shops even if you do make it.

I'd assume you might run into a body-swapping something or other sooner or later, especially with the Fall hazard, the radio set, or Nav.exe.
