I want to make a Roman legion style Space Marine army (preferably not Ultramarines) I'd like to pain them up in the "traditional" roman color scheme (pic related).

What kind of units would be "fluffy" to include? I'm thinking of converted Custodes as "counts as" Praetorian Guards, Tacticals could be "Principes", etc...
Also, how do I fit Warmachines like Dreadnoughts or Tanks/Transports into the army?

They're Admech Biologists, so I'm converting most of the Cult Mechanicus units in the army to be combat servitors and vat-grown combat beasts and such. Going to see if I can buy some Deldar sprues off a friend for Haemy conversion bits, but in the meantime my Rataphrons are finished, featuring grenade launcher guy because the jazz hands pose looked stupid. In hindsight I should have put the launcher on the back and the flamer in the hand, but whatever.

Do they look OK, obviously WYSIWYG, all that stuff? They'll be backing up the Kairic Electropriests.

Just take regular sm don't mix. Paint them red and yellow with black trims, sergents and veterans with white helmets and white with purple stripe for officers. Maybe golden facial mask for captains. Symbol should be the wolf and call them lupus sons or something similar. Ultramarine successor obviously.

How do you beat a good tyranids list?

Genestealers are crazy fast, their melee is quite strong, their shooting is incredible, and hit debuffs make it really difficult to use heavy weapons on their big targets

What is the difference between a GK strike squad and a purgation squad? The purgation squad just seems worse.

Strike Squad gets to be troops (Obsec) and teleport.
Purgation squad loses Obsec status and Teleport Strike, but can take 4 Heavy Weapons instead of the single one the Strikes are allowed per 5 dudes in the unit.
