It should be in the Codex Astartes to make sure you don't have any chinks in your armor.
Austin Garcia
Do Flesh Tearers and other successors get to pick BA relics?
Eli Reed
>Thread Question: How do you customize your army? How are they different?
Different color scheme, different names. Sometimes some expanded lore behind them. Also crazy lists. For necrons, this being an all canoptek list, including the FW ones, for shits and giggles.
Logan Nelson
is there such a thing as warcrimes in 40k?
Oliver Parker
>duncan fixed praise duncan!

Against humans? Yes. against mutants, heretics & xenos? No.

He's just a likable guy, and the Bob Ross of 40k.
Noah Cox
Only the shitty Archangel's Shard.
Nathaniel Barnes
I wish, he will make a Bob Ross cosplay someday.
Xavier Wright
It seems all smaller chapters get shafted in 8th.

I customise by;
>All Agonisers in the army are replaced with a really old Eldar power fist bit I recast myself >Garish colours combined with rusty effects >kitbash models within the army range, wych legs and knife arms on kabalites and vice versa to make squads more dynamic > Themed all of them to have white hair and blackened skin like crows > Severe battle damage on vehicles

You did this to yourself. If you make a new thread, don't make it about traps and replace duncan (pbuh) with some anime meme.
40k general should be about 40k.
Jayden Hall
>waaaaah it doesnt match my autism Kys famalamama
Cameron Barnes
It's such a stupid, spiteful little fuck you to people making their own chapters. That literally no one will take seriously.
Nathaniel Harris
Annihilation of Imperial citizens, without the appropriate paperwork , is a high crime. Dot the i's and cross the t's though, and unless some Inquisitor or High Lord has a vested interest and you're good to go
Alexander Gonzalez
At work so can't sorry
Leo Perez
Probably because of the amount of people just getting it. Putin posted the epub link here in the last thread, it might be easier to download if you don't want to wait.
Noah Collins
Well, they have to, since it bans Seth or Phoros from being in-detachment with a Warlord who hands out the good relics.
Ian Martinez
EDIT: Not bans bans, but you'll lose chapter tactics, and you'll make it harder to get your hands on stratagems, since you'll need another detachment to fix it.
Jayden Bell
So Gav is writing a novel about Ynnari&Saim-Hann vs the Necrons. It's a continuation of the Ynnari storyline. More than that the story is suppose to explore the differences and similarities between these two rival races. Are you hyped? I known you missed Yvraine.
Anyways, how are the species similar to each other? Also the Necrons see the Aledari placing their faith in a god to save then from extinction as a familiar irony. What is meant by this?
Logan Hall
I like those knights livery. Which House is it?
Juan Gonzalez
Ork codex when?
Having to deal with the administratum is probably the best preventive measure.

Both races keep deity shards in their respective basements.

>BAfags successors stuck with a shitty power sword that does extra damage to monsters >DA successors get a S+2 Dd3 power sword that gives +1 attack Team edward BTFO once again
Jaxon Lee
LESS damage to monsters, statistically, since d3 is worse than 2 when the target has exactly 2 wounds left, compared to the master-crafted power sword it can also replace. It's just so laughably shitty.
Bentley Allen
Cos Newcrons got tricked over by C'Tan? Or rather got displeased with the gift. Eldar tho already was fucked by god v1 (slaanesh) so v2 (ynnead) should be fixed properly.
Carter Myers
Somewhere, the SOB are laughing at other factions. This is a rare occurrence.
Xavier Bennett
D3 Damage weapons are such bullshit and worthless.
Either give them 2 or 3 damage
Liam Cooper
Also Yvraine is a whore and traitor who works with mon'keigh who fucked up Ynnead summoning in the first place. No shit she got kicked from craftworld, corsairs and then managed to get the city that accepts the lowest lowlives and scum to kick her out.
Brayden Allen
Soo like every edition. The issue is that other factions had such level of broken and overpower crap SoB never got to shine. SoB have always been a solid army.
Liam Morgan
They might be freeblades, or from some non-official house. I don't know anyway. Can't recognize their livery.
Isaac Cook
Genestealer Cults codex when???
Michael Cruz
>meme army >codex Im sorry user
Lucas Stewart
Oh no, I was more referring to the fact that the SOB Relic power sword is better than both of the marine ones. Flat 3 damage.
Jose Murphy
I don't think it's inherently an issue that d3 damage weapons exist, but GW doesn't seem to get that d3 damage is worse than 2 damage is worse than d3 attacks is worse than 2 attacks (unless you're Catachan).
Bentley Nguyen
They should've been in the Tyrranid Codex tbhfam
Andrew Williams
Here is to another tomb-world rendered to scrap metal Sigh
I just hope Necrons would just destroy a Craftworld, at least once...
Liam Smith
>and here's the exact same shit as in the other thread. Thanks for the thread war, OP
Help me out here, 40kg. I want to make a Roman legion style Space Marine army (preferably not Ultramarines) I'd like to pain them up in the "traditional" roman color scheme (pic related).
What kind of units would be "fluffy" to include? I'm thinking of converted Custodes as "counts as" Praetorian Guards, Tacticals could be "Principes", etc... Also, how do I fit Warmachines like Dreadnoughts or Tanks/Transports into the army?
David Bell
Use Space Wolves replace wolves with horses.
Is the santa sled HQ fucker still a thing? Make a chariot.
Michael Ramirez

Jonathan Allen
Rolled 90 (1d100)
There is a rebel Guard group that wears Romeaboo armor.
William Torres
Mostly infantry, SM artillery is kind of lackluster to be honest. For making the helmets look like galea you probably want FW parts.
Overall I think it mostly comes down to formation and aesthetics than unit composition.
Are you planning on making them an Ultramarine successor? Either way you could probably use some of their parts.
Jack Martin
>tfw you can't decide on what ship your army uses for transportation Save me from my autism
Jacob Scott
I just realized that GK techmarines cannot repair units that can FLY despite every other chapter being able to do so. Literally why?
Asher Walker
Ultramarines are literally Romans in space, so why fuck around with that? They got a billion successor chapters, so it's not like you don't have choice. Make a primaris chapter, they are organized after 30k's legions, too.
Oliver Hughes
Might be an oversight, I didn't even know GK had flying units
They have anything special?
Xavier Hughes
Oh that. That was nice. Finally melee Fat cows are cheap useful
Jackson Evans
>makes some shitty original character >counts as guilliman
Blake Jenkins
>might be an oversight The GK techmarine's version of the Blessing of the Omnissiah rule explicitly states that it cannot repair units that can FLY. That's Stormravens, Stormtalons and Stormhawks. Whereas the latest BA and DA codices have no such rule cockblocking them from repairing flyers. This is retarded.
Joseph Ward
If you look up the meaning of the words, "Leman Russ" means "Red-haired Mistress"
Jack Scott
...
Nolan Foster
Thats an interesting idea. I'll look into some of the fantasy kits for horses and chariots Sorry if I didnt express myself clearly. I dont mind using Ultramarine rules/bits/sucsessor whatever, it was more to explain that I want to paint them red/gold instead of the typical blue.
Jace James
>How do you customize your army? How are they different?
Bloody thread wars.
They're Admech Biologists, so I'm converting most of the Cult Mechanicus units in the army to be combat servitors and vat-grown combat beasts and such. Going to see if I can buy some Deldar sprues off a friend for Haemy conversion bits, but in the meantime my Rataphrons are finished, featuring grenade launcher guy because the jazz hands pose looked stupid. In hindsight I should have put the launcher on the back and the flamer in the hand, but whatever. Maybe I should take the flamer off the shoulder of the looking-down one and turn it into a wrist weapon? It's kind of in the way up there.
Do they look OK, obviously WYSIWYG, all that stuff? They'll be backing up the Kairic Electropriests.
They existed long before you started 40k with a shitty Primaris army, kid.
Tyler Hill
What army is it? AdMech would use the Ark Mechanicus, SM would usually use a battle-barge, unless they're fleet based. If it's IG, how large is the regiment, and what is its purpose? Infantry? Tanks? Artillery?
Kayden Ramirez
That idea and those models are dope as fuck user.
Gabriel Wilson
>AdMech Biologists That alone is pretty fucking cool idea. You plan on doing something special with the techpriest that guides them too? Could probably use some syringes and stuff from the Deldar.
Looks good by the way.
Inquisition, pretty small force with maybe some sisters.
Ethan Watson
Depending on the inquisitor, they could get literally any ship they wanted. Which one is most appropriate for you're army size, which one is coolest, etc.
Dominic Ross
I feel like there should be more orks in fatigues pieces I know it's mostly stormboyz and kommandos that do it, but I want my fucking field caps for my pmc orks
Blake King
I was thinking if it was something like a frigate or escort they could enter the atmosphere and land (since apparently that's allowed for ships of that class) but in the books there are far smaller ships capable of warp travel.
Was thinking of designing my own little Escort-class maybe.
Angel Rodriguez
Rate my captain lads
Mason Robinson
So Veeky Forums, are Talonmasters viable? 188pts for a Land speeder character that has a twinlinked asscan and twinlinked heavy bolter, gives a 6" aura of ignores cover and rerolll wound rolls of 1. Seems pretty alright imo.
Landon Williams
Op is a faggot a needs to delete this thread Sage goes in every field

Just use them with the ba keyword (as long as you don't plan to run Seth/don't mind his buff not working)
Carson Hall
legit cloak and helm
Logan Young
Was disappointed his thumb was not sticking up for hitchhiking. 7/10.
Luke Campbell
Primaris don't really work with Blood Angels chapter tactics and gimmicks/10.
Brayden Parker
Only downside is that they're not really Dark Angels, so when they stand still, they don't get the re-rolls of 1s to hit.
Nathan Long
Yeah, I have no idea why Grim Resolve doesn't apply to Landspeeders as well. Oh well, at least you can stick him next to Sammael for a big reroll bubble of death.
Aiden Morris
Yes, they’re great. Take a librarian to teleport down and ubercharge your deathwing amd reroll charge WT, then take this guy and give him the relic power sword or -1 to hit.
If he stands backline with your troops, not only does he provide great buffs but also puts out a punishing number of shots, specially scary if he stands still. Take one, you generally won’t need captains unless you really want them afor something and this is a great sub. Also considering most basic characters are like 120-160 for similar stuff this dude is a fucking steal
Isaac Lewis
Going fast > rerolling 1s
t. White Scars
Josiah Collins
Oh I take it back, didn’t realize they don’t have CT. well that fucking sucks, but they’re still good.
Why do marines only get stuff on dreads, bikes, and infantry while everyone else gets it on everything?
Jace Kelly
Would a vegan planet be possible in the 41st millenium?
Ian Cruz
White Scars is where all the asian ravenwing rejects go, now that chinks are banned from the ravenwing in canon.
Zachary Turner
Would depend on the mission really. A low key investigation by an inquisitor who takes a small strike force/retinue along would probably have a specially built infiltration vessel the size of a small escort, something like a converted Sword Class Frigate. For a more "open" Inquisitor I would suggest an Inquisitorial upgraded Dauntless class Light Cruiser. The Dauntless is a very common ship and wouldn't necessarily attract overt attention if it was camouflaged properly as a small hauler/miner/whatever. If they were the vanguard of an invasion force that was headed by an inquisitor for whatever reason I'd expect nothing less than the Inquisitor taking his staff & army onto a flagship like an Emperor class Battleship that can launch assault boats, drop pods & landers for his retinue. A combat oriented Inquisitor Lord though might have himself his own little fleet, perhaps a Mars Class Battlecruiser and a couple cruisers (Lunar & Overlord) plus a half-dozen escort vessels (to go with his Dauntless & Infiltrator Escort as required).
Tyler Stewart
because they are the only army with easy access to so many rerolls, whereas generally speaking others cant
the exception are cadians vs chaos
Austin Anderson
This is going to reach maximum funny when we find out Space Wolf Cav (and Chariots, hahahahah Grimnar) also doesn't get their tactics. On the other hand, Grey Knights don't have this problem - their chapter tactics apply to all of their psykers, which includes things like dreadknights and, if they had them, cav - so it's possible the Wolves will also avert the problem.
Samuel Scott
Thanks. They've been modified a few times to try and make them less derpy-looking, but I think I've managed it and they're de-Skavenified enough for my other idea of making Kastelans/Castellaxi from Stormfiends would probably work without making it look like a Skaven counts-as army rather than an Admech one. As for HQs, I'm currently just using a standard Dominus, but I have plans for two Domini and three Enginseers. Enginseers will be the 30k Solar Auxilia Medicae with some Admech alterations and minus the aquilas, plus maybe a regular Enginseer rebuilt into a 30k Secutarii Axiarch because those are cool.
One Dominus will be a modified regular one specced for repairs, with multiple servo-arms holding syringes and other tools made from Sicarian arms and Haemy parts and maybe a Cognis Manipulator from spare Dunecrawler sprues, to justify why he can fix genecrafted monsters as well as stuff like Dunecrawlers and Ironstriders and my two regular Kastelans. Nothing too fancy, since all the Skitarii units are standard.
The other one, who'll normally be in charge is going to be a massive (60mm base) Admech Drider based on the metal LoTR Spider Queen and the top half of the Forge World Archmagos, with a couple alterations. The Enginseers and the FW Archmagos will be ordered from recasters whenever I have some spare money, since I'm not paying Forge World £100 for conversion fodder.
Of course, but not Darkmech. They used to be an Ordo Reductor fleet who went just a bit too far during the Heresy, and now base out of a massive fortress system somewhere in the Ghoul Stars. Recently came to Konor and tore up a Death Guard/World Eaters alliance by reconstructing dead WE champions into combat servitors and throwing them at the Death Guard, since Khorne's latent blessing held off sorcerous plagues long enough for RIP AND TEAR where the standard Genetor constructs failed. 4:1 WL ratio thanks to those Fulgurite conversions.
Andrew Reed
At least they're loyal.
Carter Diaz
>Play Lamenters >Get shit on by this. >Want to bring a Chapter Master for reroll to hits for my hellblasters and other units >Malakim Phoros just rerolls to wound and is the only chapter Master without the rerolls to hits FUCK
Nathaniel Ward
There's an abhuman strain native to a planet named Verdant, whose naming scheme might be indicative of that. 40K is definitely strange enough to include lactating trees, which solves the hardest problem about a vegan (human) planet, i.e. feeding your babies.
James Johnson
>white scars fag so BTFO he resorts to le traitors maymay How can chingchongs ever recover?
Jacob Carter
>take phoros >take captain >spend cp to make him a CM
now you have guilliman
Jack Kelly
Re-rolling to wound is BETTER than re-rolling to hit. Bring Phoros and a Captain. They'll outperform Dante and a Lieutenant every time.
Brody Gutierrez
I did NOT realize Admech fleets were that huge, especially since they punch well above their weight through tech upgrades alone. Guess that justifies one Ark Mechanicus going two rounds with the Planet Killer and its escort at Cadia, although Omnissiah help anyone who gets on the wrong end of the Ordo Reductor given they have entire battlegroups of Grand Cruisers and Ark Mechs as their nomadic fleets. They trade some firepower for storage capacity and utility to support huge armies and esoteric superweapons, but that's still a lot of dakka.
Isaac Ward
This is extremely illegal. You can't have two chapter masters in the same army according to that strat, and iirc, BA don't get the strat to begin with, so it's doubly illegal.
