It's a Stronghold Assault game. I was the defender, and set up the terrain specifically to give me lots of clear sight lines and and killing fields. Part of how the game mode works.

The Legion of the Damned. Going off the old white dwarf army list, the legionnaires are vengful spirits of fallen space marines bound to the warp and the Emperors will. They appear at the behest of an unknown command, intervening on the behalf of doomed imperial positions the galaxy over. Elsewhere, out of sight of the Emperors servants they fight the teeming hordes of mutants, aliens, and heretics.

On the right are an IG army Ive only just started. Notorious for their luck, both good and bad, I've been calling them the Bad Hope brigade. I'm using the Elysian rules and the idea is to put them together as a force of grenadiers and shocktroopers

Quite happy with him, he had a surprisingly low amount of colours compared to other things I've painted.

Must be what its like to paint nids... comfy.

Mylar and a sharp knife or specialist cutting tool plus steady as hell hands. Light box and magnifier might be helpful.

Does anybody recognize the big Tyranid spike thing on this box? Is it part of another Tyranid model, or did GW actually make Tyranid terrain at some point?

I keep googling and trying to find any good quality recaster but every yoyhammer thread is with words "contact" or "email" are either jumped at for asking for contact or complain about chinese not responding. I've been sitting for an hour now and not a single thread was helpful.

Those are looking really good, user. You can see the multiple shades of red in the armor, and the dark bases really make them pop visually. 9/10 would purge from Imperial clay.

These look great user, surprisingly good in the red color if you ask me. Gives that "your dudes" overall feel of the army. Great job!

I think I'll just have to suck it up and pay. I made a 500 point list and posted it, but... It would cost me 250 pound to complete. And real big boys games are 1500+ so i'd have to spent three times my first army to actually be able to play...

I like them as much as the next guy, but why a Codex for them? Cult Legions get unique stuff and all, but the Iron Warriors are pretty much "[Bitterness against everything intensifies] and still make mostly use of their old wargear and some daemonic vehicles. I just don't see what they'd get out of it.

The two sentinels are modified dust tactics panzerwalkers. The infatry are dreamforge games stormtroopers. Specifically the female panzerjaeger which arent being sold anymore for some reason.

He could just man up and buy the smaller bad-dragon toys. Might even get to use them for a Slaaneshi army, and surprise his opponent with a lil' squirter.

gw has not made a moderately attractive model. Every chance they get ,they fuck it up.

Primarily artillery. I know certain places don't allow FW for some reason and the IWs don't have any artillery without it.

Just play steel legion, they're similar enough.

But they can all reroll failed charges, thats awesome. Unless you mean them being squatted into the space marine codex then yeah that was a bit of a bummer.
