this little goober

rate my decks lads

seems like you really enjoy making others miserable

i'd recommend you to build something with the combat step next, there's you can do to make people sad that way

now do me

oh fuck meant to quote him

I want to build a Doomsday deck but I don't know which commander to use. Grenzo looks pretty hysterical for it

>Who's your favorite land-heavy commander, if you have one?
gaydudes
so much mana so fast
people dont even realize it till its too late

Here's mine.

Taxman list? I need a control deck,

Here are my current decks. I have a half baked Krenko deck, as well as an Erebos deck in the works too. I'm also considering putting together a Karametra deck as a more casual alternative to Kruphix.

Electroshock therapist here, Looking to build a new izzet deck.

Keranos Blue Moon vs. Mizzix Storm

Is blue moon even viable in edh?

>Who's your favorite land-heavy commander, if you have one?
It has to be picture related. I never had a land-centric deck before and it also incorporates spell slinging and since the deck's gameplan is pretty fragile it needs some element of control to keep Noyan Dar and your animated lands alive. I only built it recently, but it was more fun to play than I had expected. But I have a feeling that playing this deck in a really competitive, high powerlevel meta could be a miserable experience.

You posted him, he's great.

I really wish I had a chill group I could play Braids in but I don't. You do seem like you don't like other people playing magic, I approve greatly.

You've posted this multiple times before I think

Blue moon works as well as bloodmoon works in general. If anything its best in an izzet deck since you have a lot more ways to draw into it, my locust god deck is as close to a blue moon deck as I've seen get very far in commander.

Only if blood moon and back to basics are good. The less expensive the mana bases are, the worse Keranos stax gets. You need to rely on breaking parity with winter and static orbs, which can suck. Mizzix storm is probably more consistent in different group power levels.

Mizzix storm has been done a million ways to Sunday, build Keranos.
god I want to put my dick between Cymede's tits

tfw too poor to afford good mana fixing

R8/H8.

Proper formatting is for the weak.

What can I do with a Sultai commander? My Tasigur list is just ramping into goodstuff creatures and some eldrazis.

idk man, you're in the goodstuff colours, maybe try the mimeoplasm?

Memeplasm or Damia 1cmc diarrhea

Guy in my group built a gaddock teeg elf deck that's way higher power level than anything else in the group, with infinite combos as well.

Do I just not play in his games or what

>memes
>anime
cancer/10

>when you play a beatdown deck with less than 10 creatures

Just got Ol' Buzzbark from an Unstable Pack, are we doing Unstable Commander now?

>playing a banned commander
cancer
(also just play Spike as your commander and search for Braids until Silver Border stops being legal again)
>Sen Triplets
glorious cancer
>Teeg
awful cancer
>Brion Stoutarm
TOSS PEOPLE AT PEOPLE

Anyone got any spicy tech for pic related?
Thinking of converting to her

Maraxus of Keld seems like one hell of a fun deck. 10/10
Nice overall picks for Commander.

Anons who play pic related, how much protection do you run? I want to win with giant fireballs (not battle phases, already have that with xenagod) but from what I understand he gets killed on sight. Any help is appreciated

Haven't had that problem myself (my playgroup is pretty casual) but in mono red your only options are gonna be equipment like greaves, boots and darksteel plate. Otherwise, don't cast him until you're ready to rock

What said. If you don't have equipment for protection, i like holding up two mana for Fork/Reverberate to copy the counterspell.

What's your Maelstrom Wanderer deck like? Wheels, lands, budget, expensive?

Who here plays BUG?

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/damias-whispers/

I wish I lived in a timeline where I could still see that Maraxus deck...

STEAL SHIT

The three equipment mentioned plus Hammer of Nazahn and Whispersilk Cloak. You can also add Assault Suit if sacrifice tech is prevalent.

Do you like combo?

If I had one, everything would be 7 CMC or less. Also, probably ETB-focused.

Just temur ramp and goodstuff with a top-heavy curve. It doesn't really matter what sort of goodstuff you run, as MW you just overwhelm your opponents with value.

>Who here plays BUG?
Faggots, mostly.

...

Same, but I run an 8cmc (Ugin). Also, play Crystal Shard so you can further abuse ETB effects and re-cast Wanderer without commander tax

I've played this game for years off and on with friends but now they just want to play online. Worse yet, one guy just cheats and blatantly uses cards he doesn't own. Pretty tired of it.

Never really played at a LGS before. I know there's one nearby that has commander nights but I went once and no one was playing. Pretty unwelcoming too, some people were just plain rude and literally wouldn't look up from their cards when being spoken to.

How did you guys get started at your LGS? Just literally go in and sit down or did you ask owners/organizers ahead of time? I'd like to go but between being a little shy and having a bad experience it's tough.

I always go to a new store with friends, and then get to know other people there, so that way I start having at least one person so I don't feel alone, and then later on I can go alone since I ideally already made friends with people there.

I think this is pretty common sense desu, and also it makes sense in my country where there are tons of people playing commander on each store and you'll always find someone to play with.

Got no one to go with

Haven't touched my Jolrael deck in ages, but I still love it. It just ramps into more ramp into more ramp And animates all my opponent's lands when I activate NivDisk.

I've got a bit over a dozen decks, but most are kinda gimicky-- I don't really use 'em much unless I'm in a mood, or my local meta is calling for it. Pic related are probably my two most prevalent decks I'll bring to any occasion.

#
Phenax is hella fun, just remember to run a bunch of grave hate, it's about as crucial as counterspells, since you'll be stuffing your opponents' yards, and at least one guy is gonna be ecstatic.

#
It's *legal*. I suggest asking your playgroup. I built X, and some people adore it, and we'll probably still play silver bordered, even after January, as long as everyone is un-mander friendly. Some people aren't as fond, but I've got plenty black border decks to play against anyone who isn't. Worst case scenario, you make a deck, play it for a couple weeks and shelve it foreverafter, not a new phenomenon in EDH.

The thread gave me an excuse to update, so have at it. Decks are ordered by oldest to newest.

I wish to know the master plan of how that Maraxus deck runs.

1.hire some loyal guns
2.crash the boardstate with no survivors.

I've been waiting for an excuse to post

Thanks guys.
Care to tell me the most damage you've done in a turn with him?

Ironic, I am gay.

>no combos just ungodly amounts of tokens

I like that.

This is why I prefer 2 colour.

Isn't it "crashing" not "crash?"

I want to turn Dralnu into Grenzo

oh, also something i didn't put into the deck then, but it has a hilarious synergy with all elemental tokens (and unearth creatures).

...i should probably remake Bane deck.

That's gay.

Good, Grenzo is fun. Draws a lot of aggro, though, especially if you nick someone's Big Dick Spell.

I had a similar idea with Seton and might actually build it now that you say it's the funnest. Mind sharing a list friendo?

Yes. Thats what I said

...

How fun is that 97 land deck with pestermite and Kiki jiki?
How fun is that

How do you find the commander for you? Preferably without spending alot of money.

Think of a few things like what play style, theme, colors, and competitiveness.

Then also consider mana cost, how often you would want to cast it, how immediate its effect is, if it has a relevant creature type, and things of that nature.

Decide what kind of deck you want to play? I, for example, love fatties and combat, but play burn in modern and RR for standard, so I looked for a general that would let me beat face. Ended up with xenagos and never looked back.
Don't try and force yourself into a play style you don't fell. Used to play newzuri but counters and infinite with sage just isn't me.
Just my 0.02

Would a good method of finding hatebears be searching for cards CMC 2 and 3, then sorting out the rarity from mythic on down?

Just play derevi stax, everyone loves that guy

:^)

rollanrollanrollanrollanrollanrollanrollanrollanrollanrollan

Sure, why not

It's time to blow some money

>Karlov
Good thing BW is my favorite

Found mine by playing all k8nds of d8fferent decks. Building what looked fun and keeping what stuck. I've got a few decks now that will always be in my rotation of edh because they're just so damn fun to play

>no Freyalise or Teferi
:C

> :C
Suck my cock boi

>1v1 braids
Noplz

Here's mine. Yes I know daxos is w/b. It was a typo.

No.

Sorry, it's just too much of a time investment. I mean, finding it under all those folds alone could take days.

Rolly polly

Why should this be doable in Mono green if there's no cards in green that produces token copies of opponent's stuff?

If it's really high we usually just scoop before I have the chance to count it all out. I'd say it's easily in the 500+ range.

Turn 3 win via turn 2 Hidetsugu into turn 3 Comet Storm is well over 200, which is always fun.

Other highlights include using a ton of copy effects to wheel over 100 cards (just for laughs) or any time you have the chance to Commune With Lava your whole deck away and play whatever you want. It's a fun deck.

Just built Nazahn voltron. Super fucking fun.

Making tokens?

It's not viable because it can't be used in mono green.

About as much fun as you'd expect it to be.

>Big Dick Spell
Such as? I just like winning through combat, and I think my group prefers it to a LabMan win. Gotta keep em somewhat happy

Yeah here, it's fun

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/setons-great-big-bullshit-factory/

i want to buy some really stupid card sleeves. i'm surprised there aren't more options out there. does anybody know where i can buy some totally ridiculous card sleeves?

What other creatures are unblockable and recur themselves like nether shadow and marang river prowler?

well nether shadow can be blocked.

if you want creatures that recur then you'll want to look into ashen ghoul, vengevine, bloodghast, reassembling skeleton, bloodsoaked champion....etc.

Not a huge amount of mana, but I once killed the table out of nowhere.
>Table is Me (Neheb), Niv-Mizzet, Scorpion God and Gisa
>Scorp and I have been doing nothing all game
>Niv has been spending all of his counters and other spells keeping Gisa in check
>Despite this, zombie shenanigans have reduced everyone not named Gisa to about 15 life
>My turn, draw Earthquake, i have Neheb on the field
>do some quick math, main phase a fireball for everything at Gisa to put him at 10
>Attack Niv with Neheb, he can't block at all
>Get about 15 mana on main 2, pump it into and Earthquake that kills everyone else but keeps me alive at 2

superfriends

Nice

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't make it so suspended stuff gets 0 suspend counters?

They get time counters since they're not on the battlefield

Hey guys, I'm still kinda new to commander, and I wanted to ask for your advice. Im trying to play a group hug deck that uses Progenitus as it's commander, essentially just putting up barriers and incentives to attack players until I can whip out Progenitus and start picking off low health players. Do you guys think this is a viable tactic, or should I just go back to square one on using Progenitus as my commander?

Fuck it.

eh, I'll have a go

Hoping for Doran, never built

Enchantress Groupslug

Any of you guys have a deck you're working on foiling out? 8 more cards for Kraj, but not looking to buy if I can help it. Forlornly combing ebay sucks.

Rolling

>building a monoblue deck
>it goes pretty well, I've slapped together a bunch of janky staples, and I slowly started improving it
>suddenly hit a kickass job
>move to a new city
>get a new playgroup full of equally rich fags
Alright, what are some powerful cards in the ~$100 price range. I've got all the usual stuff like Wallet Sculptor, Crypt, Drain, and Force of Will, I just want some expensive lesser-known tech I can slap in there haphazardly.

Yo
