I've had many groups ruined by a woman showing up and the men being terrible so it ruins everything. Girls were always fine.

This is actually a real issue, unless guys in your group have girlfriends and/or are not starved of feminine attention, it often happens they are making everyone uncomfortable, including the girl at the table and each other.

This doesn't excuse any failings girl players may have of course, but I've hear enough horror stories where mixing sexes resulted in pointless drama.
