You know the answer, user.
/SWG/ - Big Bug Engineering
The TIE Interceptor. You can't beat the classics.
This guy has gotta be 12 or something. This is bio I'd expect to see on GaiaOnline when I was a teenager, or something.
I know adults are perfectly capable at writing bad character bios as well, but this just kinda has that "young, inexperienved roleplayer" feel to it.
>bomber pilot who gets all her kills with seeker missiles
What a pleb. Dogfighting with blaster cannons takes skill.
Missiles have always been the least "Star Wars" thing in the games.
>Alex was born with a special power
>he was better than all the other Jedi at the Jedi academy
Now if the Republic's Army, in Canon or Legends, hadn't been a Clone Army, and had instead been an army of regular beings, would they have survived the conflict with the Separtist and their allies?
It seems like the Clones themselves were barely holding the line. The technological edge is also clearly in the CIS's favor.
I'd think so, especially if the clones were retained as a highly-trained and well-equipped shock force backing up a large conscript army, which is what the stormtroopers were supposed to be in the EU. A single planet producing mere millions of clones never sat right with me for a galactic conflict even with Sheev pulling the strings.
There were planetary defense forces that theoretically made up the bulk.
Well, on the one hand, the clone army had the advantage of being trained from birth to carry out their role, which most likely helped their efficiency. Plus, they most likely had better unit cohesion and cooperation considering that they all originated from the same genetic stock, had extremely similar upbringings, and a natural brotherly relationship.
Meanwhile an army raised from member worlds of the Republic, especially after 1,000~ years of no major warfare, would be a very time-consuming process, especially when it came to organizing all of the units together, and obtaining appropriate warships to fight space battles and carry troops to their destinations. For most of the Old Republic's history (assuming we're talking Legends), the Republic Navy was the only fully-organized military branch. There wasn't really a formal Republic army until after the Jedi Civil War, where the Republic decided they were a bit done with getting steamrolled by every Dark Lord, Mandalore, and Dark Lord again that decided to say "Oh boy, here I go conquerin' again!" And that method didn't seem to work so well when it came to massive organized forces like the various Sith empires or a horde of zealous Mandalorians.
On a point-for-point quality mark, the average Republic levy soldier would most likely be more skilled and intelligent than a B1, but also more susceptible to morale than clone troopers, most likely.
I feel like the main advantage normal recruits would have over clones is numbers, since there's only so many clones you can pump out from one planet, whereas levy dudes would be coming from thousands of worlds. But they'd also be less organized, most likely not as well trained, and probably even operating with equipment at a lesser grade than the clones as well.
