Anchovies

What to do with canned anchovies? Bought some clearance (not anywhere near expired) Cento anchovies for $0.51/can. Tried them like sardines, plain with rice; total salt bomb. What do with them?

Use them in place of salt. They're common on pizza, stews, chili. Make caesar dressing or toss them in your stock.

Since this is Veeky Forums, you can put them on little caesars pizza, put them in ramen, or eat them while you're wasted.

use them as a seasoning in sauces, soups, stews. put a couple on a burger.

Oh, man. Tons of stuff. Soup seasoning, pizza, caesar salad, tapenade, pasta dishes, rubs for meat, all kinds of sauces... my grandma would make this absolutely fan-fucking-tastic cheese spread with anchovies to put on toast.

My dad will buy a tin and just eat them straight with a fork.

Honestly I sometimes buy a frozen cheese pizza and add them as one of the toppings. Goes great with feta, spinach and garlic

Put one or two in every soup, stew, sauce, or simmer you make instead of salt. Makes it very savory. If it makes it taste like fish you have used too much.
