Anyone here tasted dog meat?

Anyone here tasted dog meat?

how was it?

>Anyone here tasted dog meat?
Pretty much anyone who's been to a Japanese restaurant.

I didn't enjoy pedigree pal.

I'm in Japan right now and I can confirm thir

My favorite chinese place when i was growing up got shut down for serving dog meat. No joke. They were closed for like 6 months.

That was the best dog i ever had though.

what does it taste like? I imagine pork but drier and harder to bite

Honestly who cares what kind of meat it is if it tastes good and you enjoy eating it?

I had kagogi (dog) while stationed in Korea with the 2nd ID. It was awful. I do not recommend.

Why was it awful?

Had dog twice in Taiwan. First time was delicious. Tender and juicy as fuck. 2nd time was okay, nothing to write home about.

Great uncle told me that different colored fur had different quality. Forget which was which though.

Flavor was kinda unique to itself, kinda like how lamb, goat, horse, all have their own flavors. Texture from the two times I had it varied so I'm sure it just comes Dow to prep and quality like any other meat.

Besides that I wouldn't mind having it again, it tasted a lot better then kangaroo imo.

it was pretty rough.

*ruff*

That was basically the entire premise for the south park episode where the japs were all FUKU YUU WAAAALU!!!

>it tasted a lot better then kangaroo imo
Now you got me interested because kangaroo is fucking delicious if done right

pls no eat

>You're under arrest for doge feasting!

Meh...the barky crust was a little rough

I found this image.... i dont feel like trying dog any more.....

>he was a great doge

>mean squinty eye can't see me now

>Some where in korea
>Son: Wheres the puppy?
>Father: He ran away.
>Mother: Dinners ready.

Hungry yet?

This lamb is recieving unfair discrimination.

goodbye doggo

well to be fair I've only had it once while I was in Australia, so maybe the one I had was shit. But the one I had was of the leg? I think, I may be wrong, and it was grilled. The meat kinda fell apart in strands similar to chicken and it was weird since the taste was unique.

Haven't had the opportunity, but I'd definitely try it. I have a Korean friend who says it's great but it's definitely a special occasion meal rather than a daily thing, and there are more people who are vocal against it. I've enjoyed most of the non chicken/beef/pork meats I've eaten, and I'm always up for something new.

I love my dog like family, but during my time in peru i learned that pet dogs in america are completely different animals. undomesticated dogs should all die, they're vermin and eating them is a good way to reduce their numbers (they were everywhere in the shittier parts of every town)
I know it's a completely different country, but the recipe probably came about for the same reasons

You don't generally want to eat "feral" dogs. They'll eat fucking anything and the meat will be tough and horrid. You want dogs who have been raised for food.

I had it in Vietnam, went to a dog meat restaurant and had their banquet with lots of different dishes.

The best was a peanut and dog meat sausage.

The soup was forgettable and I didn't like the roast.

It's not really like much else, it's a dark meat and I guess it tastes gamey.

Kangaroo is way better.

I eat roo every week and I'd place it as a sweet, lean lamb closer to venison.

Why are fucking gooks and nips so gosh darn heartless?

Kangaroo is the best meet ive tasted so far, after slow roasted lamb.

Westerners are fukin heartless. We eat lamb, cow, chicken pigs etc. And breed them in big factory farms where they are so close together that powerful antibiotics need to be injected into them to keep them alive.

The
Japanese
Do
Not
Eat
Dogs.
I'm actually in Japan. I've been here all my life. I can confirm.

You're right. They only eat prisoners of war.

Dogs are pals, not food.

However in saying that, I'd actually try dog if i was in Korea for whatever reason and it was on the menu.

At least I didn't have to see the doggie get slaughtered, right bros?????????????????????

What the fuck is wrong with bully breeders? The dogs look worse with every generation. Don't they know that English bulldogs already exist? I'd deep fry and eat these poor bastards to spare them from the unavoidable health issues they will have. Sry for drunken rant I just hate bully breeders

Yeah, looking at that thing, I pity it

Triggered.

Why didn't they remove the head, tail, feet and the near-anus parts?

Stupid Koreans 0/10 shit cooks.

I'd probably try it once given the chance, but I don't feel very fond of eating carnivorus animals.

Is feels unhealthy. Maybe because of bioaccumulation of toxins.

no! mr scruffy bottoms no! you turned into dinner.

Because it's cleaned out and still edible? Why keep the head and tail on a roasted pig? On a fish? goat?

Love all the ignorant, triggered westerners in this thread that don't realize the dog we eat in Korea is specifically bred to be eaten, since the dog was originally a pest and not considered a household-capable breed. If it makes you feel better, it's more like eating a coyote.

Damn I could go for some delicious boshintang right now
