What are some good places around you to get a big burrito that aren't national chains?

What are some good places around you to get a big burrito that aren't national chains?

Isaac's in Wilmington, California. Order a green chili burrito.

My kitchen.

Rigoberto's. Shout out to Fullerton/San Diego

make sure you get it TO GO

There are a bunch of Mexican places in my 'hood that sell burritos. I never order them, though, because when tacos and tortas are available I lose all interest in burritos.

>tacos and tortas
I wasn't aware I shared this board with faggots

Why the fuck does every taco shop in San Diego's name end with -berto?

For tourists familiar with Alberto's, probably.

It's actually pretty humble inside. Real old looking, like a shitty restaurant from the 90's but with less chinese food style tile walls and crap. A couple of plastic booths and wooden tables, cafeteria trays, and soda cans sold from a drink display.

Still, their food is fucking amazing, especially if you appreciate burritos that are just loads of salsa/sauce and meat in a tortilla.

chipotle.

Might be just me
But I prefer smaller tacos over large burritos

Taco Bell is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The one near me is always packed with Mexicans too, so I know it's good food.

...

San Diego reporting in my nigga. Lolitas, hilbertos, Los ponchos, robertos, Santiago

I had some burrito place in my town called uptown burrito. I stopped going there though because they let teenagers serve all the food and they told me once that the black beans were bad.

Can I order a Lolita at Lolita's?

If you head about 15 minutes south past the border I'm very sure you could

In Colorado you have Illegal Pete's...

I think he was making a lol weed joke, brother. I'm open to the chance that I am wring.

bombers in albany, ny.

Flour tortillas suck.

no.

...

Anna's in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville.

Anna's is fucking garbage.

Sorry to hear about your taste buds. Condolences.

looks like chipotle

probably tastes like chipotle

bet its more expensive than chipotle

...

burritos la palma in la

Traditional burritos from Durango made with Birria, and stewed chicharron.

Gordo Taqueria in Berkeley, CA.
Best burrito's in the Bay, not overly expensive either.

i love illegal petes

I live in the Central Valley of California so there are taco tucks everywhere. They all charge like 5 bucks for a huge, usually amazing burrito. Sometimes they are too greasy or something, I always call it a gamble on the quality but it almost always works out

Burrito king bellingham wa

Pre goood veggie beeto.

La Rosita in Louisville.

>tfw Wisconsin
>tfw Chipotle or Qdoba is as good as it gets
>tfw born in Arizona great Mexican food
>tfw lived in California for 4 years eating glorious California burritos

Life is pain.

All I have is Taqueria Los Pericos In San Leandro and then in Pleasanton, Fiesta Taco..

Commiefornian

Now all I need to do is find those huge tortillas for burritos

I know these feels user.

Born and raised in Arizona, had to spend last month in Ohio for work.

I didn't think I was gonna make it.

There should a crisis hotline.

NOWHERE for at least 50km (no idea what that is in miles). Small town Ontario. You gotta make it yourself. Fuck my life.

Anyone know of a good burrito in the Milwaukee area that isn't Chipotle or Qdoba?

If y'all niggas ever end up in Dublin, Mama's Revenge make some damn good burritos.

After thinking about it, I'd rather have Real Chili at 2AM after drinking than a burrito any day.

El Faro in Summit IL, just go before sundown unless you want to be shot.

>Real chili
>Wisconsin

Better be made with venison boi.

It's different I'm not a Native. I miss it.

No he wasn't you retard, read the sign.

this truck has parked here for around 8 years.
They have excellent fresh fish tacos for $1.50
Regular burritos for $5 and double size for $8.00 which is basically 2 burritos.

Its the berto's mafia. in this order
ro-berto
Al-berto
Ali-berto
hil-berto
hal-berto

Ive always wanted to open one named "BERTO'S"

El Roy's taco truck Petaluma, California. Shit is cash for like $8 and the width of my forearm.

I stop by here a lot in between classes

>unwrapping a burrito like that
>2003+13

Muh god damned nigguh. I always stop there in my way up to gratton

Holy shit I live right down the street from this place. God Tier tacos

it's so good my man.

>go up to Petaluma every weekend from Santa Rosa to hang out with friends
>get this each time

Feels good.

It's like subway, for burritos.

Me too, whereabouts do you live?

wait, I do too. do I know you?

DO I KNOW YOU BOTH

you guys should all go there right now and meat up and fuck

I know that feel.

Lived in Cali for 18 years, then moved out to Michigan.

I barely remember the taste of good mexican food.

el burrito loco, Joliet, IL

I'm down for that

I'm in Chula Vista, just moved here, know any good burrito places? So far I've had Panchos and Cotjias. Both are pretty good. Roberto's is shit though.

Tacos el Tequila

Cape Coral, Florida

Mah nigga

Dude, seriously, you live like 100 yards from Mexico and you are asking where to get a good burrito?

You snuck across the boarder and cant go back home right? But you dont have any money to go any further into the US so you are stuck there. Dont lie. I know its true.

This place on Addison and Lincoln in Chicago. The burritos here are OK, but the nachos are where it's at. None of that layer of cold Chihuahua cheese and mountain of cold, dry shredded iceberg lettuce.

All the toppings are pretty well distributed. And the cheese stays melted! On par/better than the ones at the Cheese Cake factory (though not as loaded).

The price sees a bit much for what they give you.

Any of you guys know anywhere else to get good burritos in the city?

Honestly? Just a very white washed Hispanic who barely speaks any Spanish but moved here for work recently. That being said, would love to find a good local place for Mexican food. Like I mentioned, I have a couple places that I go to that are good, but I'd like to know of any secret places the locals would know of. Haven't been to Tijuana and honestly have no interest in going there. Don't trust Mexico at all. Don't speak the language good enough, so that's out of the question.

except it's the middle of the night

we should all go there for lunch tomorrow at like 1 pm and meet

>1 pm and meet

Found the NEET

He's kinda right. That is puss sauce.

>a day trip away from Des Moines, a major hub for human trafficking

Middle of Iowa has a high Hispanic population. There are taco trucks in every major city and a few even go around to the small rural towns. Mine has one that stops by every Wednesday and Thursday. Even in the Midwest, Chipotle is a last resort.

>brain dead and can't spend the five minutes driving it takes to find a Mexican restaurant in the midwest

>7 dollar burrito the size of a baby

>a burrito filled with stew
what

That's just it. You people have Mexican restaurants, but it's not actually Mexican food because your pallets suck. So the ones that exist are subpar.

>pallets
retard.

I lived in LA for a year and the restaurants there were no different, some were worse.

Well I lived in Carlsbad California for 4 years and I had some dank ass Mexican.

Truth be told my favorite is fajitas.

La Bamba is a regional chain in the midwest that I think got started as drunk food in Chicago

It's pretty good but not spectacular considering you can eat almost as well for half the money at taco bell

terrible

that's bullshit unless you live in a small town, Madison and Milwaukee have tons of good mexican food

I do...

I have a few places in Appleton. But that's out of my way.

way too gray to possibly taste good

>burritos

I eat real mexican food because Texas

my apologies

guess you're gonna have to cook your own and buy chilies on the internet

pic related it's the mexican spices and peppers at my local store. they have a whole aisle dedicated just to imported mexican shit I've never even heard of

they literally have this exact same shit at my local walmart...

feels good living among immigrants, don't it?

I buy my spices from the mexican isle because you get so much more for the $ than buying mccormick or other name brands. You literally get 2-3x the amount for 1/4 to 1/3 the price.

Can never find dried basil though

It always blows my mind how much cheaper shit is at ethnic food stores. I got 5 times more cumin for the money when I started going to the indian place and it has no apparent taste of poo

Señor Taco in Federal Way, Washington
Get the Señor Burrito with carne asada
Great tacos too

Fucking expensive though, in Mexico the stuff they sell wouldn't cost shit

ive got more basil growing on my porch right now than ill use all year from $1 worth of seeds

I'm in chula too man. Lolitas is top notch. There's one on telegraph and another in the sunbow shopping plaza. I live and work right between the two, perfect location. Check it out, order a california burrito or some carne asada fries.

>Gordo's
My nigga. Been eating those since I was little, they're practically a family tradition.

I thought that place was a pub or something. What makes it special?

Maize in Champaign, IL. As good as any of the best taquerias in the mexican neighborhoods in Chicago or L.A.

I've been there a few times (chicagofag here with a few girlfriends at UIUC).

It's good Mexican food, but nothing really that special. I know some better Mexican places in Chicago for about the same price as Maize to get tacos or burritos.

I think it's delicious, but if you know better places, please share.

yeah, don't get a burrito in central Mexico. Everytime it was literally beans and stew on a small tortilla. instant soggytortilla, need fork and knife, fucking suckes

Ha. That chain was terrible, but I've had many fond drunk/stoned food memories from that place. The place was almost always empty, regardless of location, and smelled like a cleaning agent, but it was nice avoid long lines at late night pizza places.

Apparently the one in Peoria/Bradley closed in place of another Mexican restaurant (lmao), and the Normal/ISU location also serves (surprisingly good) sushi.

I think I prefer Los Portrillos the best in that area. I had a weak experience at El Porton

Huh. I'll have to go back down there. It's been a while. does Chambana still have their La Bamba's?

Taco Burrito Palace in Lincoln Park.

tortas at Mexican Bakery
burritos tacos nachos at araujos
the fucking quesadilla at la victorias with their orange sauce
an el mercado
autlense if your desperate and its the middle of the night

fucks there once was cart in a shuttered gas station parking lot. not a food truck, a fucking cart. tacos so god damned amazing.

also a super taq if your feeling for something in that direction.

all within 10 mins all around me. california becons
