That would be impossible to answer. I have an entire set of shelves stacked with cookbooks, and many more in files on my computer.
If I had to pick the one I'm most amused and intrigued by, it's "The Gentleman's Companion", from 1939, by Charles Baker Jr.
It's a fucking hoot, and has some actual great recipes in it. Just a sec, I'll post the dedication page, which gives you a taste of the style in which it was written.
