Virtually every brand of generic box of macaroni with powdered cheese is superior to kraft dinner ever since they decided to ruin their product by appealing to healthy eaters that never ate it in the first place.

As a mixer for rum n coke, cuba libre, coke float, whatever you wish, it simply tastes clearer, cleaner, and more cinnamony. It's handsdown better.

When it comes to things on the shelves, all the frozen publix vegetables are top rate, but when you compare ingredients for things like yellow rice or macaroni and cheese you'll notice a bit more premium on the publix brand. Lack of MSG or dyes, and higher places ranking of the good ingredients.

Mountain Dew is the only soda that actually taste worse when made with real sugar. I can stomach the Throwback sold in the US, but the kind they sell overseas is hot garbage

It's due to sugar tariffs and corn subsidies. Corn growers are hugely powerful and the sugar-beet farmers don't like cheaper foreign competition.

Royal Crown is really good, it's a balance between the sweetness of Pepsi and the savory taste of Coke, but yeah, the brand is super fucking old, it's nowhere near generic, they just sell it at a lower price.

Just like Pibb isn't generic--and I make the argument that it's better than Dr Pepper because it's crisper on the tongue and doesn't linger too long as Dr Pepper tends to do.

But seriously? Store-brand pops are disgusting. Usually the worst offender is the store-brand Mountain Dew knockoffs that taste like windshield fluid. For those who live in Michigan or another enlightened state, the obvious alternative is Faygo, which is GOAT.

I don't have pictures to hand but an Indian owned store near my house sells home made peanut butter cups in faded orange paper called 'Raj's Tajs' that are essentially chocolate covered peanut butter with 2 chocolate sticks coming up to look like the Taj Mahal. Yummy and delicious. He often jokes he doesn't wash his hands before making them to get the authentic Indian taj mahal taste but I would eat a pile of his shit to get one of Raj's Tajs.

I'm not sure if you'd call it a direct ripoff of bueno, it's got the same hazelnut chocolate inside but it also has the puffed wheat, it's much better chocolate than bueno though and it's dirt cheap (local dollar store sells 2 of them for $1)
