Douggie Hartland's writing office is pretty nuts in a brilliant, eclectic sort of way. Not that it comes as any surprise really.

me lol

Saw a couple pics of Ronaldo Reinhardt's a little while ago. Was sort of sparse and tasteful and minimalist in a really appealing way

Reggie Chrysler's studio looks pretty cool, if a bit nerdy. There's a lot of limited edition figs etc

Jennifer Kissin has a pretty neat setup iirc. The whole room is like blues and purples

i like the look of clarissa vikander's, but id probably get irritated/claustrophobic after a while

Post pics.

kaspar arturo's looks like some kind of creepy medieval dungeon which is probably a pretty accurate reflection of his own character/writing t b h. i do like it tho

I was actually reading some lit zine a little while ago about this. Rocky Davidson's stood out to me the most. Everything is very precariously placed and there's all these weird theater props strewn about.

What brand cigarettes are those?

dennis brawner had a ton of old movie posters completely plastered over the walls. there was only like one bookshelf with like 5 books on it lol. weird dude

didnt roman hammersmith have some seriously bad hoarding problems everywhere in his house except his writing room? it was like notoriously disgusting everywhere and was a total fire hazard, but his studio was pristine. i think thats pretty funny

Tammy Rylance's was furnished like a baroque sitting room or some shit. i love that a lot. apparently when she got burned out/writers block shed get up and play for a bit on her harpsichord to clear her head and then go straight back to writing. she was such a valuable person in literature :( rip

michael dubois was some kind of obsessively anal germaphobe who couldnt write unless he was completely sure he was in clean, sanitray, sterile surroundings. most of his studio is like, stainless steel/chrome to make for easier cleaning. weird but cool, google if u wanna see i guess

lucien butler had his whole house styled in that 60s/70s mod hip aesthetic, which i guess reflecting his writing pretty well.

Hester Dunmore was obsessed with Shakespeare and had like 10 bookshelves, each one containing the same play printed in different editions or academic pieces pertaining to the play in question. I like that concept

brian telmann's looks exactly like op's pic, but i just like his more because he's brian telmann lol.

abbi roberts has a ton of commissioned art portraits of her characters on her wall. a little self indulgent, but i like it

he really loves hitler, doesn't he?

>empty pepsi max and bottleof chloroform in front of 2 huge books with HITLER printed on spine
my man

tabitha barkley, who i used to be really into, had a ton of plants - plotted and hanging - everywhere in hers. pretty beautiful setting, probably great to write in

God damn it, this douche is such a fucking attention whore. Every time I see a pic of him I just want to punch his stupid fucking face.

You think he's using those as a piss bottle?

>smoking indoors
wew

That all too familiar copy of Water for Elephants.

Kek stay mad, nu-male

chesterfield

oh shit is that Against The Day?

lol. nu-male. you don't even know what that means.

Knausgard is the definition of nu-male.

What a dumb faggot.

Philip K. Dick was known for taking a cocktail of amphetamines and psychedelics and then locking himself in his study and writing an entire book while high as balls. He would be in there for up to 36 hours, I believe. I've always wondered what his study looked like after one of those marathons. Must have been a fucking mess. Where did he use the bathroom?

Have ya read him? He's pro-life and anti-imigration.

Bullshit. He took amphetamines. Sometimes. And yes, he would turn out up to six classic novels a year. He died of a brain hemorrhage, though he had quit for some years. He only did pyschedelics once or twice in his life.

Yes. Many people outside of Veeky Forums read Pynchon.

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

I love amphetamines. They make me both more productive and much happier.

The world is brighter. I'm more enthusiastic. It's great. I get more done in a day on 10mg of Adderal than in a week without.

He owns an ayn rand book

Dropped

fuck you now I want Lucien Butler to exist

You should try to read as much as possible user, if not to your benefit, than to your enemies detriment.

Jesus fucking Christ, does he drink anything other than Pepsi and Coke? Every twenty pages in any given part of the series there's a goddamn Coca-Cola being poured into a glass.

what the fuck

it's like everyone forgot to attach their picture

i googled all of the names and none of those authors exist

The cleaning product next to the Pepsi is what makes this picture.

pretty patrician

Beckett's bookshelves in Paris

Nigella Lawson actually has quite patrician tastes.

But undoubtedly, the greatest library of all is this one.

...

Coincidentally, I was just looking at pictures of Eco's library last thursday. Look at this, nigga had rare medieval editions in his living room

garretcore for life

Eco is pretty renowned for his book collection. You should read "This is Not the End of the Book", a conversation with Jean-Claude Carriere in which he discusses it. Pretty interesting, and a very fast read.

I was listening to an interview with him where he estimated, between his house and his NY apartment, that he owned 200,000 books and had read them all at least once.

fucking homos

He had like 16,000 books between the Berghof and Reich Chancellery but he never had them inventoried so not much is known about his private collection. I think US soldiers ended up finding a few thousand books of his after the water.

Desk looks comfy and the furniture fits the overall proportions of the room.

w2c those shoes?

This is glorious.

>My Struggle

His Hitler biography in My Struggle 6 is actually pretty entertaining to read. He criticizes a lot of earlier works on Hitler for being too judgemental of the young Hitler. No idea why he spent 400 pages saying that, but it was interesting.

>No idea why he spent 400 pages saying that
I do.

Why the fuck are all of the books three feet tall

Viral marketing hits /lit

siesta and lido beach are nice beaches.

They are also all fake and man made. I can't imagine how much it would cost to live that close to st armands.

probably smells like cigarettes

the neat thing about sarasota is that nearly everything looks over the gulf or bay.

McD looks like an enormous, ugly baby

woah

>what is perspective

belle is 6 feet since disney gyals are model tier them, so user was quite write with her being twice a book in your perspectivo

That's obviously not true. Even if you added a zero by mistake it seems like too much. 20k books would be 265 books per year from the age of 10.

The guy from The Complete Review "reads" this much, but he doesn't write books and teach courses and all that shit.

>belle is 6 feet since disney gyals are model tier
>assuming

There is no way they are that tall. They are all shorter than their male counterparts and most guys are not over six feet tall. If she were six feet that means gaston or prince adam were fucking giants.

Why do I know their names. I haven't seen the movie since I was like 6.

>gaston
>not a big guy

even then she is not "twice a book". About 3.3 of the bigger books (the ones on the bottom shelf to the right). and about 4-4.5 times the size of a smaller book.

Which is a normal size of a cartoon book. The books would be about 1'3" to 1'8. A good sized encyclopedia or cartography book would be about the larger size and anything else would be normal for cartoon.

is this nerdy. Is this an internet topic to talk about? The sizes of the books in beauty and the beast.

That looks like an extremely un-cosy bedroom.

belle is most litcore disney waifu desu so it's alright

That's a daybed user, do you even fatass?

hes a big guy just not 7 to 8 feet fuckin tall man.
