NEVERMND I SEE FILE NAME

>deens
plz make this the new 'go 'za

For the ones packed in olive oil
-Pasta con le sarde with toasted breadcrumbs and a side of poached eggs
-On bread with the spicy olive oil from tin and parsley+remoulade

For the ones packed in tomato sauce
-Sautee onions and garlic in pan, dump sardines and sauce in and add chilli paste/powder/sambal to taste. Good with rice.
Looks kind of like pic related but I like more sauce so I add a bit of ketchup.

Gonna level up my skeleton eating all these fish bones

I just had a couple cans of these. I threw them in a bowl and put a few salsa containers in it from when we brought home Mexican food.

Shit was so cash.

fisherman's eggs

i got a jar of spicy olive bruschetta mix and it's so fucking good with sardines i can't stand it

>sautee some sardines in sherry
>mash up avocado
>spread avocado on wheat toast with sea salt
>Sardines ontop of it all

yeah polar is a severely underrated brand, and not just for sardines

I love me some 'deens

Would eat.

King oscar is my go to. I have never seen this brand.

this is a good brand. i buy them in bulk at costco

brisling sardines are the best but honestly im over sardines, these days all i eat are kippered herring

>kippered herring
so good. started eating these too. i like them plain on crackers

I eat them on crackers too but with tabasco

nice that sounds good, i'll try that next time

These are great.

I've done canned sardines in olive oil sauteed with chilli peppers and garlic and then topped with pasta and bread crumbs and some fresh chopped oregano.

Give me your recipe

I always fuck it up

Also get on my level, plebs. DELICIOUS MEATY PORTIONS

if I hate anchovies and like tuna, will I like sardines?

Sardines are definitely different than Tuna

You may like some brands more than others. If you're not into anchovies than something like brisling might not be a good start and perhaps you can start with something meatier like smoked herring

Beach Cliff has excellent herring, large cans with tasty pepper seasoning

i don't have a specific recipe but just put some fresh garlic and onion on a can of sardines, bake that for 350 for around 5 ish mins, then add some eggs and whatever other seasonings you like and cook it til the eggs are as done as you want.

Sardine prices have gone up for me from $.89 to $1.29 wtf, but the grace stuff is still cheap. switching to mackerel

Just tried this. I didn't have sardines so I used tuna instead. Pretty delicious, thanks for the idea. Can't wait to try with sardines.

Next time I use tuna I think I'll add peppers, too.

sardine in tomato sauce heated, with jalapenos and siracha, on toasted baguette

fresh sardines are so cheap and easy to cook that buying them in cans is pointless.

I've never eaten sardines.

Are they deboned or are the bones so small/ that you can just eat them whole?

The bones are small and very soft, even the spine is more like a noodle than anything.
Eat them whole, you won't notice them at all.

Is one supposed to eat the skin of these?

ew seafood.

You can, but most of the time the scales are rubbed off of the ones that are eviscerated and deboned

The bones that might be left behind are virtually unnoticeable

Holy shit nigger that looks incredible

Thanks.
