Gotta site your sources, mate.

I've got plenty money, but I still prefer second hand books.

>book isn't over 998 pages long

When I finished The Count of Monte Cristo I wish I had another book just like it. At least the next book I read was good but it wasn't a long book like Monte Cristo.

...

Yeah, there is really nothing like reading a door-stopper for a month, or longer. Cozy as fuck imo. All these short books

I disagree. A lot of longer novels should have been edited down, but guess what? Most 19th century and Modernist novels were published in literary journals so there was a great incentive ($$$) to keep the novel going. It is easy to forget this fact since we now purchase these works as complete novels even though they were not intended to be read as such when first published.

Anyway, getting back to my point, short novels are better because the author and a capable editor can keep the novel moving at a good pace. Most of my favorite books, if not all of them, are 200-300 pages.

>book doesn't force me to get attached to a female character before it slaps Tyrone on her

dropped.

Is that even a word?

did you even recommence with the romans?
