never let me go is one of the best novels of all time. it will teach you to stop wasting time in your life.

>Samuel Delaney
>Ursula K. Le Guin

good stuff

Seems to be a theme of power

Solaris is good. Roadside Picnic is good. Heart of the Dog is a-we-so-me.

I read The Slynx in a post WWII Russian lit class in college. It was pretty cool. Haven't read the others but 'Never Let Me Go' has been collecting dust on my shelf for the last two years. Maybe I'll read it soon.

Start with the classics:

Forever War, Dune, Nueromancer, A Hitchhikers Guide, etc.

nigga i tried it and couldnt stand the narrator
should i try again?

I think The Shadow of the Torturer is the best, but I'd say A Canticle for Leibowitz is the best starting place probably. I love Never Let Me Go very much, but it's not necessarily what a science fiction fan is looking for.

How do I peer into the pedophiles?

Hahah, well I never knew that buttonholes look like vaginas.

you forgot to add sophie's world by jostein gaarder

this whole hebephile bullshit, you need to cut this shit out
it's not a "sexuality" to find pubescent women attractive; they are the most evolutionarily fit, can bear children, etc

Can anyone recommend some light current sci-fi adventure? Written 5-10 years ago.

Sexuality isn't biological, it's cultural.

Onyx Javelin.

first three are good (from the top left), don't know the other ones, apart from picnic, which is also good

Best on that list is Solaris and Canticle for Leibowitz, and most would say Wolfe. Lem's other great one, His Master's Voice is good too.

>they are the most evolutionarily fit
>misusing a biological term this extremely

Oh I am laffin

Evolutionary fitness is measuring reproductive *success* - not what your dick thinks is potential

lol it's pretty good but nothing fantastic

Seconded. Heart of a Dog and Nova are the best novels on the list. The Last Question is a great short story so that too

I no ryte, culture is the reason that young soft women in the prime of nubility consistently make my dick hard as a purely autonomous response to seeing them.

How many books from the chart have you guys read?

>posted this earlier in a [containment] general
Then why didn't you fucking keep that plebshit there?

I enjoyed "Earth Abides" George R. Stewart

...

Oh you

>Roadside Picnic
my nigga
it's a great book

>sophie's world
Shit, I read that when I was like 14. I thought it was just a sick ass basic summary of philosophy. What the hell did I miss?

>Dying Earth
>Not The Dragon Masters

>Shadow Ops

1/20 correct. Not bad

SF is one of my least-liked genres in literature. Among its short stories, however, I liked Ted Chiang's Exhalation a lot.

well, i read the alice in wonderland when i was like 6, i thought it was a pretty fairy tail, and it apparently a foundation of the pedo literature

at least sophie's world has an older philosopher who 'teaches' an under age girl secretly from her mom...

>Patrician detected.
Plz leave thread

sick post number

What's so bad about Robert E. Howard?

Roadside Panic is fantastic
Solaris was good
Didn't finish Heart of a Dog but it was good

May a Russian spy beat you into a bloody pulp while you're on your patio barbequing.

>Nightfall

The book is great until the Eclipse arrives (the first part). When the second part starts it goes on like we expected with almost no twist at all. The last part were the protagonists live this post-apocalyptic world is totally generic.

Why this book over Neither The Gods or the classics?

If you like Dark Souls then read Wolfe and Vance.

Nightfall refers to the short story, not the novel. The short story ends with the eclipse.

>Urusla le Reddit
Why do people like this meme author?

Same reason they like Pynecone and Df-hanged himself-w

Because The Left Hand Of Darkness is good.

The Lathe of Heaven is shite, though.

Dhalgren is incredible

And Moorcock
