Why not?

Maybe everything is inherently meaningless and without purpose, but our minds has the ability to affect the reality we perceive and we can create our own purpose. Sure, nothing is certain, tragedies and misfortunes befall on many and make their lives hell. But if you're relatively well, just sit with yourself and think thoroughly what is it that burdens you and what you can do to overcome it. What is it that interests and attracts you in life (even in the smallest degree) and what can you do to achieve it. There are countless great things to experience and learn in this world, and it's pointless to waste your time drowning in nihilism and depression while you can work to improve your life and enjoy it. And if it's truly unbearable, the door is always open and you can leave.

Because there's nothing else to "do". There is no "death" to be in. There is no "me" that can die. All that is at war here is your remembrances and your expectations, and what has formed from them, with themselves, for themselves, by themselves. Outside of that there are no problems, no achievements, no quests, there is nothing at all.
