There have been some huge shifts in taste since this list was created, and there's quite a bit of fotm shit that wouldn't rank these days. Wasp Factory is a big example, nobody talks about that book on Veeky Forums anymore. And stuff like Journey to the End of the Night and Book of Disquiet used to be huge on this board but they're not as prominent to board culture these days.

how else would it possibly have worked? I assume people voted for their favorite book. I just noticed now that the chart from 2015 says they voted for three books, but there's no reason that I should have known.
