WELL!

i'll take it but i'm a little disappointed desu

Now I'm starting to feel bad I dropped out of college.

I'm dumb.

ESL here. I can take your job, dear Americans.

Never went to collage. I just read books.

>collage

Damn, almost

Suck a dick OP. I hate your clickbait site.

Can't be bothered to take a screenshot but I got 23100, top 4.87%

About time.

Well I did say I never went.

How does the scoring work. There were only a couple that I guessed. How does 4 make up 700 points?

suck my nuts, vocablets

aka the fucking google method you chump

Meh, getting there.

>implying these niggas didn't search the answers on Google.

All natty. Suck my cock.

It filters for time as well.

i took another quiz on that site, the iq triangle test

am i logically autistic or something?

>vocablets

when will they learn

i guessed on some of them. i did study greek and latin roots during an sat prep course so that helped but not really.

Sup

>implying we did

what's up, fellow 29800 user

Aight but check my repeating digits

FUCK

>200 on visual IQ
>am i logically autistic or something?
No you just took a fake/bad IQ test

Guys, vocabulary.com

;)

Just noticed I'm still in the top 4.8% which is starting to sound comforting with all these fucking high scores strutting around.

This seems like bullshit but it reinforces my ego so I'm choosing to accept it. Even though my life is an utter conflagration of filth this clickbait quiz validates me in a way that's truly fulfilling and gives me the strength to continue laboring and mindlessly consuming to prop up a system for which I still bear vague disdain, but can no longer muster the will to offer meaningful resistance or even complain about anymore. I guess that means I've either grown or given up. Probably both.

Me and you m8

choosing the first answer everytime

Holy shit I started that post as a joke but I'm so fucking depressed. Time to burn my life down and start over.

>23k
>see 29ks
>sperg out
fuck me

>not using the same font

ok

user are you having a catharsis?

acquiescence

H-h-h-hey is 10k good for a non native?

fuck me.

29625

I guessed on a good quarter of them. I guess it's about recognizing the structure and my vague recollection of word associations as much as actually knowing what the words mean.

It's like Jeopardy. You don't know the answer but you make an educated guess based on what you know it isn't.

>It's a "Do you know what synonym/antonym mean quiz"
Also
>antonym of normal
>abnormal is not an option

30500

>you can create new words that will expand the english language
>implying most new words aren't created by the lowest common denominator to simplify language to their level
it's like redonk, right? lol!

ryzhknd.tumblr.com/psy

ryzhknd.tumblr.com/pol

Good to know that I'm allowed to blezillkept new words now.

Even when it's not lowest common denominator, it's to simplify stuff
>Milton writing PL
>Hmm, how can I say that this is the place where all of the demons were?
>Pandaemonium

milton's a step ahead of most of these
>public.oed.com/the-oed-today/recent-updates-to-the-oed/june-2016-update/new-words-notes-june-2016/

Surprisingly didn't cheat once.

>REI
>Highest ranked in the thread.

I'm both, surprised, and not surprised by this. Weird.

Pretty easy test tbqh. Kind of makes you wonder that 90% of the posts in this thread are supposedly in the top fraction of a percent.

Fun fact: you're statistically more likely to get struck by lightning on the way to winning the lottery than have a word coined. Yay hope.

>acknowledging tripfags

ew

Non-native speaker here.

anyone with an average or below-average vocabulary probably isn't on the literature section of a mongolian fish-painting board

I got 30150 and I haven't even read the greeks.

>You are Shakespeare! You can even create new words that will expand the English dictionary.

SUCC

>I got 30150 and I haven't even read the greeks.
Wut? The Greeks aren't difficult to read. Do you have a mental disability or something?

>e-statting your vocabulary

shameful AND pathetic

you guys are all so fucking dumb i scored over 9000 and im not even that smart

I wouldn't know because I haven't read them desu senpai

I guess so. It's either that or grow to hate myself more and more until I die.

have you tried drinking a lot every day?

i've been going with that for a while now and it's honestly working pretty well

I drink whenever I become dehydrated.

do you mean beer? because i meant beer

You should be more cognizant.

got the same, feels great

you should be more drunk

I dropped out of college freshman year, btw.

I appreciate the aphorisms.

9k words as a non native. I always thought my English was pretty good.

this is a good idea

ah i meant native speakers. based on the short sample it seems like your grammar is good so it's probably more just a matter of memorizing words at this point for you :)

About what I expected

How hasn't anyone beat this score??

I wonder how reliable this is, since it doesn't seem to include any truly obscure words (and since the test itself is in somewhat broken English), but I got 30500, which is supposedly in the top 0.01%. The test did, however, introduce me to the word 'avulse,' although it's related to 'avulsion,' which I didn't realize at the time.

I am Cantonese

I mean I mostly read in English and German. I guess I just expected my vocabulary to be a little bit better than it is; I do find myself not understanding words in English books from time to time.

>everyone's either around 22k or >29k
huh

It's probably a perfect score for the test.

>Had a brain fart as soon as it switched to antonyms

wew lad.

Nearly had to kill myself ten questions in.

>ryzhknd.tumblr.com/pol
what tests are these charts from?

If you've read at least 50 of the sorts of books Veeky Forums recommends from cover you should easily be able to reach 29k.

>"I AM BECOME THE LOGOS THE SPEAKER OF WORDS."

-- « 零 » !Ry9.FWKNDY

Its pretty mediocre. It seems to give a lot of the answers in different forms than the questions (I don't know the proper grammar terms) and some of them don't seem like real antonyms. The one I remember was "compensate" and "underpay"

you got that one wrong, the antonym was "extort"

>Ayn Rand
30500 words and still a pleb. What a shame...

ok im just a retard that rushed through it then

my first point still stands

seems like too small a sample size of words. I'm also butthurt about my 22650, a whole life of reading and I can't join the cool kids Veeky Forums club

10000 actually is pretty good for a non natice, especially if you started late in life

>tfw Conrad would fuck my shit at this despite not speaking English until later in life

Also

>baneful

I think I guessed a bit.

this is total bullshit but 29625

Please no bully, I'm French.
Oh, and this test is retarded
Multiple choice tests are always retarded

thanks OP i needed the chortle

i'm unworthy

who /0.01%/ here?

...

29,450

Top 0.23%.

I'm also a stemfag, suck on that!

psychometrics.akresgr.org/vocabsurvey/

is better.

>You indicated that you knew 69% of this random sample of words from the Oxford English Dictionary.

>This indicates that your vocabulary is 35213 ± 4000, with a statistical confidence of 90%.

nice digits

It wasn't extort though, it was extortion.

It seems a bit odd to say the antonym of a verb is a noun, even if the root itself is the antonym.

>ESL
Feel bed, but I have never learned English.
