How many sides does a circle have?

How many sides does a circle have?

2, the inside and the outside

how can you not see this?

So a square has 8 sides?

aight lol

Infinity-agon

Infinite. All points are both the beginning and the end, and between all points a new point can be added.

I find this very unsatisfying and borderline abhorrent, as such a definition might as well say it is a thing that does not have sides. In this sense, the only thing infinite is my utter disgust.

Infinite disgust.

Depends on what you define as a "side". I mean, most circles don't come with fries or cole slaw, so there's no sides from the restaurant standpoint.

My favorite are the meat circles. And personally i go with 3 sides: macaroni salad, rice, and fries.

If if we subtract the points of an apeirogon from a circle, what do we get?

Infinity, obviously. Only way to be a true circle.

0 sides. There are no edges. Some will say infinite but as soon as the polygon becomes completely smooth, it has 0 sides

usually between 3 and 7 depending on how big the circle is

Are true circles able to exist in reality and/or be recreated by humans? I don't think they are

2. coins have two sides, coins are circles, and you already know how the rest goes

...

that literally will never and has never been able to draw a true circle

Two. Inside and outside.

360, each degree is a side

says who

>length of the lead decreases as you draw the circle
>surface the circle is being drawn on is not uniform and always fluctuating

God are you in fucking high school?

please leave this board and never come back my god

A square has an inside and an outside too. What are the other 6 you're thinking of?

I think he was joking mate. It's not even a fancy electronic one.

Why do you hate your life, user?

The "sides" of a circle have 0 length so they are not considered as such

They better be.

idk user i see a chiliagon there :^)

how many sides does a line have?

what is the taste of chocolate divided by 2?
what is this god damn question
sides = multiple seperate stright lines
circle = continues round line

What about the top side, dipshit?

>the three awful sides

Bro, its coleslaw, baked potato and fried egg (under easy)

My sides

A circle has infinite sides due to having infinite points. A line can be smaller then a Planck and still be considered a side, and even smaller. That's why you can't see a straight line on a perfect circle

I vote 1 side.

depends on the used triangulation

front side and back side. are you retarderd?

The most logical definition of a side (normally called a face) is a maximal convex subset of the boundary, in which case a circle has infinite sides.

You could require a face of a set to have one affine dimension less than the set but that's dumb. Such faces exist for polytopes but not other sets necessarily.

It's one side goddammit

Define what a side is.

underrated

There are no straight lines that make up a circle.

0

We all live under the same sky
We all will live we all will die
There is no wrong there is no right
The circle only has one side

No. not even if you drew it out of atoms

zero sides

anyone who says otherwise is an idiot

HAHA UPBOATED!

>use a pen
>use a flat surface

Keep your mouth shut undergrad faggot

ironic

A regular polygon approaches a circle as the number of sides approaches infinity.

A circle has no sides.

One

underrated kek

Six million

define "side"

Holy shit user I'm dying, that was the stupidest thing I've seen posted all summer

10/10

check out the arts student

By the same logic there is no such thing as a true anything.

well, as far as geometric concepts go, yes

>Are true circles able to exist in reality
Why is this worth discussing?

rhetoric question, mate

A circle having infinite sides is about as logical as saying .9repeating == 1
>pro tip, it doesn't equal 1
