Mods should start being subjective and mass ban the memeposters
No obvious troll threads
No ten Ayn Rand/IJ/Ulysses threads per day

Just interesting threads to learn and expand on more literature.

>disregarding the sacrosanct meme trilogy trinity
>>making the board even slower

a reformation would be fatal

>wanting nazimodcancer
>Browsing frontpage instead of catalog
>Not using a Veeky Forums extension

jesus christ kill yourself

>caring more about stimulation from new materal than the quality of the material

No.
Fuck you.

The majority of Veeky Forums doesn't care about your favorite short story compilation by a Hispanic Canadian author.
The majority of Veeky Forums cares about IJ, Ulysses, reiterating the titles of Shakespeare's plays, and the occasional Pynchon discussion.

Outlawing all these won't speed up the discussion about your favorite Hispanic Canadian author. Because nobody cares about him.

just use the fucking catalog you autist

>My parents were killed by an Hispanic Canadian author

>activar windows
>sombrero vexed

>going to Veeky Forums in search of quality

time to kill yourself

You don't have to outlaw them, just have one thread for each at a time, and delete extras

>I only come here to combat my crippling depression.

When I discovered the catalog my Veeky Forums experience changed completely

Mods barely even remove NSFW content & this board is 50% threads totally unrelated to literature, you really think cracking down on memes is a realistic expectation?

would a mod crackdown constitute a teleological suspension of the categorical imperative?

What a novel concept user.

Nobody's ever thought of that before.

You are a true Veeky Forums revolutionary.

We will create a banner for you.

I don't think there are any moderators interested enough in literature to browse the board regularly.

Why would they even do that?

If at any given time there are five threads about Ulysses with 150+ replies, where one asks "what should you read before reading Ulysses?", another asks "what did Bloom mean by 'Milk for the pussens.'?", and yet another one wants to discuss the Circe chapter, etc etc, it STILL wouldn't serve to undermine the discussion about your Hispanic Canadian author.

What's undermining the discussion about your Hispanic Canadian author is that you've recently migrated from reddit, and you like the fact that on Veeky Forums some actual discussion about books might actually be taking place every once in a while, and yet you're butthurt that we don't like the authors and books that You, a recent reddit emigrant, want to discuss. And you don't even know how to attract our attention to your Hispanic Canadian author, so since it pisses you off, you try to play the "free market is bad mkay neoliberalism is bad bad buzzword buzzz bad mkay" card.

Since we've agreed that our quality of discussion is better than /r/books, why can't you maybe consider the possibility that we also have better taste than /r/books? What makes you think that all of us are those who actually need to be educated, by you alone?

Why don't you make some?

I submitted when the mod applications went round, I assume others did to. Naturally I didn't get it, and the board hasn't improved at all since

Catalog?

fucking rekt

Who cares dude its just a website

zactly
>if only i was a dictator people would respond to my shitty thread about a book nobody else wanted to read
nope.jpeg
The mods here are good in that they leave us alone. When mods are active, they're idiots who delete Nabokov threads because some simpleton reported him as child porn, who delete political lit threads because they don't like reading political books, and do other retarded shit like fuck up the sticky so you have to click into the sticky to get to the part about books.
