Good luck brother. I tried 3 times to get into my university's film school. I ended up going into geology because they wouldn't even let me try a 4th.

You're almost guaranteed a job if you graduate with a film degree, it's the getting into the department that's hard.

Muy buena escuela, los alumnos no se dan cuenta de que básicamente les están regalando una educación superior y, prefieren fumar mota y grillar.

Google did a study and found no correlation between GPA and job performance for employees

Tell that to employers.

Did they find a correlation between GPA and grad school acceptance? Job prospects?

How come they wouldn't let you?
Yeah, I realize that but hopefully I'll get a break. Not looking to be the next Abrahams, would just like to make some nice films in my life and be happy you know?

Thanks though

How easy is a 4.0 GPA over there? In aus its out of 7, 4 being a pass and 7 being a HD. I don't know anyone with anything close to a 7. A bloke I know is on about 6.5 and winning awards

what's he majoring in?

Awwww shit

MST here as well

Metallurgy

3.75

In Germany its similar.
best here is 1.0, passing is 4.0 failing is 5.0 - 6.0
Shitloads of people have an average of 2.5 - 3.5
Last test was intro to computer engineering, two people had a 1.7, one had a 1.0. and a lot of people had 3.0 or higher.

Oh also grades are 100% final, whereas some schools in the US have like 50-70% final and other things like HW make up the rest.

TJC
Engineering Design Technology
3.94

German cs student here, had 2 100% exams so far. But that's in like 40 exams

Have you been looking for four years, then?

Purdue nuke grad here. Where'd you end up finding a job, or did you? I ended up with a job in the field, but as a physicist, not an engineer.
