Basically if you say any book from this list or god forbid reddit's list your taste sucks and you have no individuality.

It's certainly worth more than the Catcher in the friggin Rye.

That chart makes little sense for Veeky Forums. I'm guessing that the sample size wasn't that large.

Does Calvin and Hobbes count?

It's from two years ago

Even so.

got a copy of the reddit list?

favorite not on this list is "The Diceman" by luke rhinehart

this user is right, the sample size was really small, so the books towards the end only got like 4 or 5 votes

The thing is the same books make the chart every year just in different places

That's mostly what I'm referring to. Ulysses not at #1 or at least top 3 is just weird.

Salammbô by Gustave Flaubert

JR by Gaddis might be my favorite book I've read recently (hope Gaddis isn't a meme yet).

Riddley Walker

All quiet on the western front

barely anyone here has actually read ulysses

more people have read infinite jest than ulysses. probably by an order of magnitude.

He's just becoming one in the last 8 months

Ey yo fuck you i don't need to be some tryhard because Moby Dick is actually perfect

Not a book but Enchiridion is definitely my favourite text. TWAWAR ties with Ulysses, otherwise

>You have to like obscure books to have "individuality"

It is entirely possibly (and likely) that someone's genuine favorite book could be on this list of 100 books, most of which are loved by the general reading populous.

Watership Down or maybe Ada. Actually barely any of my favorite books are on that list, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Musashi

>mfw whenever someone tells me the manga is better

Have you read Taiko? Equally great, but with more of a focus on politics

Not yet, but it's definitely on my list.

I didn't know The Crying of Lot 49 was written by DeLillo.
