Geology

Can anyone identify what this is?

It changes colors from blue to yellow, dependant upon the light hitting it.

Held up to white fluorescent light

They're minerals Marie, Jesus !

Apparently, but im in need of specifics. I've had this thing for over a year, not knowing what it is, or its value.

opalescent glass egg?

Probably a crystal. If you want to know what it is exactly, you cannot give us enough information. You'd need to find a geologist and let him inspect it.

Thank you

Maybe we can tell you something if you answer the following questions.

Can you scratch the surface with your fingernails or a metal ?

Does that create a mild greasy-soapy feeling when you touch it ?

Where do you find it ?

Can you see little crystals inside ?

Scratching: fingernail or metal, no. metal seems to transfer onto it.

no greasy-soapy feeling but very smooth

i have no clue where it was found, was given to me by a friend.

i wet it, and held it up to light again, no crystals. completely and utterly flawless it seems. too cloudy to see when dry.
