Re-readable Books

Post books you've re-read more than twice

Is this a Reddit post?

yeah dude!

who has the time to read a book more than once.

This.

Augustus by John Williams

Especially those last 40ish pages where Augustus ponders over his life, what has he done and the meaning of it all. I get chills everytime I get to that part.

The Castle by Kafka

Crime and Punishment

Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh

I have read TCOL49 8 times by now. Stays good and I discover something new every time.

I have never reread any book, ever. I might make an exception to Steppenwolf next year though

So... what was in the Lot 49?]

v - 3 times
gr - 3 times
lot 49 - 6 times
vineland - twice
inherent vice - 3 times

Blood Meridian
Suttree
Lonesome Dove
Absalom, Absalom!

spoofs and gags etc.

I bet you shitpost a lot.

not so much
i spend most of my time reading and watching movies

Notes from Underground: 2x
A Series of Unfortunate Events: 2x

Amsterdam Stories
Labyrinths (Borges)
Grill with the dragon tattoo trilogy (I was young and it was a fun read)

I can't think of any others I've read more than once.

Eliot's Four Quartets, hundreds of times.

Every book, if you have the time.

Moby-Dick three times.
Women in the Dunes three times.

*Woman

Epictetus - The Enchridion: 7 times

A+

must have read the world according to garp and stranger in a strange land at least 6 times by now

certainly seems like bullshit

Personally I enjoy the whole Marc Anthony section. But totally agree that it's an incredibly re-readable book.

The first novel I read that taught me that rules were meant to be broken. I've read it five times. I'd have just kept reading the damn thing if I didn't have the anxiety about not reading other great things.

>Blood Meridian

Read it recently and loved it. Definitely will read it again.

why is that
