It depends on the Veeky Forums books and where you buy your Veeky Forums books desu. But all in all, it's still a supply/demand thing. Veeky Forums books have a wider readership (because many people read Veeky Forums books for fun) than Veeky Forums books so many bookshops sell them and the prices tend to go down.
Veeky Forums books (especially graduate texts, monographs, acts of conferences and things like that) are a niche market and are mostly bought by university libraries that can afford them, which is why editors price them the way they do.

A music album easily earns ten times the prize of the nobel prize, which is a once in a lifetime prize even if, a scientist is able to earn
