When was masturbation invented?

When was masturbation invented?

Better question is why do so few animals masturbate.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Maybe because we are on heat the whole year and most animals don't

what he said

in 1994

soon as i figured it out

When the first cavemen discovered his hands

When the first permavirgin existed

It wasn't invented, it was discovered.

>1994 masturbation starts
>1997 porn is invented
>1998 Bobby Boucher helps us win the game
>1999 fleshlight comes out
>2003 still jerking off
>2006 become wizard
>2012 world ends
>2014 find out women masturbate too
>2016 find out women don't masturbate and are just a meme

Daily reminder that as far as human experience is concerned, there's no difference between invention and discovery. We're not capable of there being a difference.

ape masturbate so probably 2 million bc

So we discovered the ISS?

we discovered how to make it happen

stop acting stupid on purpose

But did we discover the ISS, or invent it?

this is a good point and im stealing it

We don't know the ISS. Our understanding of it is was created by the machinery of the human mind and isn't a 1:1 representation of what it actually is.

We discovered that the universe afforded its existence, and the means to bring it about. This could be called "invention", if you wanted. Though it doesn't really convey any much for novel meaning. ie, "no difference".

Wait hold on, so what you're saying is, we invented the ISS?

Not going to continue communicating unless you demonstrate comprehension.

Definition of Discover - To be the first, or the first of one's group or kind, to find, learn of, or observe.
Definition of invent - To produce or contrive (something previously unknown) by the use of ingenuity or imagination.
Discovery is learning something previously unknown, inventing is producing something previously unknown.
You cant have invention without discovery, but that doesnt make the two the same thing.

Read what you just wrote, you're agreeing with me. They're the same thing.

You can create artificial dualisms out of just about anything. Sometimes it ends up creating useful tools, whether cognitively or for communication. This doesn't mean the underlying absolutes aren't identical. It's sort of like a "two sides of the same coin" deal.

Think about the universe as being composed of states. what delineates one "object" from another is entirely arbitrary. An invention is simply the discovery, or engineering, of a given state. By your definition of invention, it is impossible for this state to not be novel, and thus it is also discovered.

Those mental gymnastics.
Producing and finding/learning/observing are 2 different things, period. I don't know where you're getting this shit but please keep it coming.
>artificial dualisms
lmfao

Suit yourself. Just know the only mental gymnastics going on is stemming from your need to maintain a difference between two different words because you mentally associated them with different things after learning them. This is strictly a high level superficial layer, language is about comprehending the underlying meaning through logic and reason.

It's probably mostly emotional conflict at this point. Which is fine, and normal. Orwell was all about language and "newspeak" for this very reason. You need to be careful not to let logic be slave to language.
