What are some methods of memorizing the digits of pi?
Pi
there's this thing called practice
since there's only 10 possible values each digit can take you only really need to remember the order
>decimal
we got a pleb in here
remember it in hexadecimal you peasants
In which radix is it easiest to remember pi?
I mean, it's probably not hexadecimal...
Be a supreme child prodogiy and universial genius like Ainan Cawley who besides having an IQ of over 200 and getting a PhD in Chemistry when he was 9, also memorized Pi to 500 decimal places by reading it over once.
Other than that not sure, try memnonics?
the real question is why would you want this?
maybe you're still very young and think memorizing big numbers is a huge deal but actually it's completely useless. Grown ups have no use for that. Being able to multiply big numbers in your head might at least impress some fags, but also useless
>PhD in Chemistry
he's the king of the brainlets at best
you have to start by memorizing these digits
Fucking Checked.
May I have a fresh container of coffee?
Make it into a song, which is the easiest way to remember pretty much anything
this is Veeky Forums, not /BBT/ so kys
>memorize the pi symbol
>memorize the equals sign (you'll use this later)
>remember to bring a calculator
>through memorization, remember the pi symbol and find it on calculator
>press the button on the calculator that has the pi symbol
>repeat the previous two steps but with the equals symbol
>don't forget; you must press the pi button THEN the equals button!
Numerically learning a way in which to remember pi is easy, just might take some time is all.
I'm french so yeah
hello numberphile xDDDD upvoted ;)
pi
memorize atan(1)
then multiply with 4
You only need to first few digits for pretty much any calculation.
If you want to actually memorize it for some reason, you could try splitting it up into sections like a credit card number. 3141-5926-5358-9793-2384 and so on
Whatever you do, be sure to remember to a point where you're not rounding up due to the next number being a 5. Ask Amazon's Alexa what is the value of pi and she says 3.142. Mathematically triggered!
use the base Pi. then you only have to remeber a single digit.
I just use 4
>writing out pi
why
>What are some methods of memorizing the digits of pi?
As phone numbers.
...
Pic related
sqrt2 = 1.41etc.
Does this have any significance in relation to pie?
Yeah:
[eqn]\pi \approx 2.22144146908 \times \sqrt{2}.[/eqn]
3.14159265358979323846264338795
i think this is the first 20-something digits
just memorize in blocks and repeat
not hard
Absolutely none.
