I do, actually. I can also recognize the lurking/posting phases and habits I went through, the moods, the interests. I keep a USB stick dedicated solely to a "Veeky Forums" folder, too.

there are obviously exceptions, but being in my 4th year of a bachelors degree in applied mathematics and working in a biophysics laboratory myself, i can say that there's some truth to that.

but i think you can sum it up better by saying most STEMfags are just sadder and overworked versions of "normies." they generally lack an appreciation for creative intellectualism just like your 27-year-old customer service girl or 24-year-old male warehouse worker but have the esteem of a higher paycheck and a college degree (that, really does require a lot of work) to socially justify their ultimately sad and dogmatic way of thinking

but then again, all the best scientists and mathematicians are totally not like that. i've had a chance to meet a lot
