you probably think Shakespeare is overrated too.
look around, Shakespeare is NOT popular anymore. Academics are having trouble even keeping him relevant.
Debussy's masterwork "Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune" that changed the musical landscape forever isn't very relevant these days either. Who cares about relevancy? I am talking quality here.
My Twisted World.

Had an absolutely fucking amazing experience with these two.
Perfect.
I'd bone you so hard.
your opinions are shit but that picture made me kek
completely wrong
But you're a dude.
is this accurate
yeah but you have to imagine someone sitting next to you saying: "Cocteau Twins is for faggots". Because that's essentially what Mann is doing.
I really enjoyed that music
book was crap however
Literally what??? What are you talking about?
Thomas mann saying Hans Castorp is a faggot?
Basically yeah, you can basically hear Mann giggling after every of his monologues about "transcendence and the nature of time".

I think the entire discography fits well with IJ

i understand why you would call that obvious, but the association has to be a bit obvious for a song to remind you of the book or vice versa. both the song and the book have a consistent and long nature which eventually just fades away at the end (the end of the song and the end of infinite jest). i personally feel reading infinite jest and listening to that song give off a similar sort of feel, but i would have trouble explaining it in any more detail. perhaps its only my association
ive also always felt like this song was about Penelope: youtube.com
This music is funny

Fuck you BEE
I always thought that the entirety of In The Aeroplane Over The Sea fitted this book perfectly.

There is a Goodreads group for this kind of stuff, nearly all members are from Veeky Forums. You can join if you want to.
Completely wrong. The tone/atmosphere and outlook of Varg have nothing to do with Pessoa.

Is the correct answer. A timid and quiet artist who never received recognition in his time reminiscing about feeling out of place as he grows older.
that book is set in Mississippi you dumb motherfucker
Good in tone and content, but doesn't really fit the "feel" of GR.
