Chemistry is the central science

Chemistry is the central science.

yup
physics exists to explain chemical phenomena
math exists to explain quantum mechanics
biology is literally just macromolecular structures
everything else is explained by biology

>math exists to explain quantum mechanics

>empirical meme science

recommend me a general chemistry and an organic chemistry book ples

Oxtoby - Principles of Modern Chemistry 7th ed
Solomon - Organic Chemistry 10th ed

"Central"? Well, you are smack dab in the middle of the quantitative hierarchy.

the central science for people who are marginally smarter than biologists but too retarded for physics or math.

The idea of a "central science" is a meme.

All sciences are one. We are forced to separate the disciplines because of our small minds.

If any of them can be called central, it is without a doubt mathematics.

Stop talking, your retardation is showing.

2/10, I responded

>Chemistry is the central science.

Nope, it's physics.

chemistry is just based on electron valance shells.

>implying chemistry isn't physics without the rigorous mathematics

John McMurray 7th edition for orgo gen chem not sure

>implying chem is anything but rule of three and mesmerizing fancy names

>pre-med who failed gen chem thinking she knows what actual chemistry is

>checked doubl dubs
not pre med though, just anotha physics undergrad shitposting

Chemistry is just physics for dennis the menace types.

>central science
>a non-science
nigga u dumb. like so dumb, fo real.

Mathematics proceeded all sciences. It pervades all sciences, and allows every science to continue moving forward. It is the most abstract, and therefore objective, language we have.

It is, again, without a doubt the closest thing to a central science in existence.

>Also I love how you skipped over that I said there is no central science.

Nigga u dumb. Like so dumb, fo real.

>implying your baby as physics you need to use to explain certain interactions between electrons that you never use isn't taught to all physics undergrads in their second year

get out of here

>not a science, but central to them so it is a science
>cells are not a human, but central to them so they are humans
god damn pro-life Christians
>Also I love how you skipped...
irrelevant. the fact that you think it COULD be a central science when it's not a science shows your stupidity enough.
>he most abstract, and therefore objective
why are you so retarded? words have meaning you know, you can't just throw them into a sentence randomly and expect to make sense.

>physics exists to explain chemical phenomena
>math exists to explain quantum mechanics
Wew lad, 10/10 shit-posting

You're too dumb to realize your logical error even when it has been pointed out to you.

Heh, good luck kid. You'll need it.

chemistry is abstracted physics because we cant explain the laws of chemistry with physics yet, same gos for bio and chem.

Chemistry is just empirical physics, and physics is theoretical chemisrty.

electrical engineering+physics+medicine is the central combination of studies that will lead to anatomically correct waifubots with dialectric elastomers.

Gen. chem: Zumdahl - Atom's First Approach
Orgo: Wade's book is pretty great

nigga what

Rules that have exceptions aren't much of rules at all, don't you think?

...

lol not sure if bait or retarded

"Physics is the only real science. The rest are just stamp collecting."

Ernest Rutherford

Can confirm am majoring in waifubots. The real central science.

can anyone give advice for the acs i take it tomorrow for gen chem 2

>implying scientists aren't just a bunch of beta's whose entire existence is meant to serve the engineering masterrace

chemistry
>playing with your matter
physics
>smelling and seeing your matter
philosophy
>thinking of your matter
mathematics
>counting your matter

all these people stucked in the anal stage

>waiting for impending army of sci majors

lmao bubbles

top kek

fuck you liberal arts major

No. Physics is.

Maths applied in Physics, applied in Chemistry, applied in Biology, applied in soft sciences?

no physics is

/thread end it all

I have a book with that name for my general chemistry class. Keked at the name but the book is pretty good. Still physics is the central science.

The flaws in valence bond theory are usually solved by molecular orbital theory.

The reason they teach valence bond theory is because it is an easier way to understand chemistry I suppose.

psychology
>pretending that you matter

bump

>tfw physicists try to do chemistry

You have to take pretty advanced thermodynamics classes to get your chem degree. Not to mention you also have a chemistry-tailored modern physics course as well.

At least at my university, but I go to UConn which is nothing special.

>Chemistry is the central science.
>recommend me a general chemistry and an organic chemistry book ples

> what happened last time

Brown Chemistry is such a nice book. Pretty illustrations, and such simple prose.

ahaha

atkins for general chemistry

Someone really needs to teach physicists better lab safety practices

kek

Worth having a rule of thumb that works >95% of the time, plus the exceptions tend to be the most interesting chemistry.
