CANCER?

Any med-fags here know a lot about gastro-intestinal cancers?
I'm a 25 year old male. I have had literally no appetite for 4 months, I still eat and do so a lot to keep my energy levels up(and in fact enjoy it because it tastes nice), but I never actually feel hungry. I'm also very gassy and my stools stink terribly and float on the toilet bowl. I'm not in a great deal of pain, but I do get mild pain across the top of my stomach and mid back at times, but rarely. Anyway, I'm almost convinced I have some kind of solid gastro tumour cancer because I don't know other ailment could cause such a chronic, persistent lack of hunger, except cykotine (ie appetite supressing) secreting tumours? All my family think I'm nuts and think the loss of appetite is all in my head, but it definitely is not! (anti-anxiety meds do not restore appetite)
My symptoms have not progressed all that much in 4 months, which is good I guess, but I still never feel hungry? What could be causing this if not cancer? Have had basic blood tests and they all came back normal, as well as abdo ultrasound which appears normal (not the most definite test indeed)
i appreciate the chance of pancreatic cancer is extremely slim in people my age, but I did used to be fat and am a drinker/smoker. Should I pursue further testing? (ie CT)
Further, am i wrong to associate a loss of appetite so quickly with cancer? And what is the reason for loss of appetite in general in regard to solid gastro tumours? Is a loss of appetite a typical first clinical presentation? For me it's just a big red flag

Yourr 25 or something and the doctors told you youre fine right

Oh fuck. Is this pancreatic cancer-user again?

yes, but you potentially highlight my problem exactly, they don't assume cancer in someone my age. every 25 year old cancer victim began as a hypochondriac

What exactly do you expect us to do? Your doctors said your fine. If you're still concerned just make up some bullshit so they will send you for more exploratory tests, they may find something that way.

my doctor has not said 'im fine' exactly. just the tests done so far dont imply pancreatic cancer, but they certainly dont exclude it either. just looking for guidance really

stop it
i dont come here for feels

U're not describing cancer symptoms tho. U're describing depression and anxiety. Eat better, sleep more, drink mote water. That pain u describe plus the nasty smell and floaty stool === gas. U'll give urself an ulcer

no. my lack of appetite is definitely physical. ive used valium recreationally after 12+ hours no food and i still dont get hungry. something is definitely going on with my body, and it points towards cancer related cachexia as other things that could apply (ie aids, heart disease) dont apply to me

bump

Fuck off hypochondrifag

i'm not a hypochon

i have real physical concerns

Alright, I'll bite.

Take a break from drinking and smoking. Also, what are you taking valium for? What kind of diet do you have? Any allergies?

Your paranoia seems to cause relentless stress, so just try to relax, it's highly unlikely you have cancer. Why not visit a doctor and let them run tests, just to get a peace of mind?

lel this is the third thread about this in two weeks

is this somebody trying to force a new meme?

If you've ever been to Veeky Forums before you'd know that we're all engineers and mathematicians. Medicine is meme science and memorization.

Consult a real doctor and get some scans. We can't help you.

>third
there's been a lot more than that

he's spread out to other boards too, he made a thread on Veeky Forums a few days ago about "books to help me accept dying of cancer"

either that or he's succeeded in forcing his meme

I was absolutely 100% convinced I had pancreatic cancer for about 8 months. I had pure white poos, gassy, etc. I was sure it was metastatic and I pictured what treatment would be like and what my family would do endlessly. You need lifestyle changes and a psychiatrist m8

Medifag student reporting. Typical cancer shows loss of WEIGHT and not of hunger. That is due to the fact that the tumor takes in all the nutrients and creates inflamation in your body which leads to consumption of body mass.
What you are describing is way more compatible to irritable bowel syndrome or something in that range.
Try to keep your belly autochecked anyway, touching if you feel abnormal masses. See a specialist of malnutrition and chronic bowel diseases.
(Sorry for bad terms, im not english)

You have done an ultrasound my friend, taken blood tests.

The only thing I can imagine my friend is
Lymphome cancer or Prostate cancer.

If it is the latter then I ask, have your blood tests tested your PSA levels?
Also, don't worry about the former. Young people if they get hodgkins lymphome have 90% survivability and they get treatment AFTER they have found a lump on their body. So don't be afraid until you have found a lump.
Non hodgkins lymphoma is 30% survivabiltiy and around 45% if you are young (below age 40).

They have made Ultrasound of you abdomen and found nothing suspicious. Really the only thing left is leukemia or anything realted to the lymph system. No reason to worry about it now, just wait until you get a lump and only then will you know it is cancer.

I myself found a lump on the back 1 week ago and I will have it inspected in about 8 days. Op, I am the one that should be freaking out right now, and I am.

Also, OP just want to link this video:

There is no reason to freak out until you get a diagnosis.

ok a bit drunk but going to respond as best and as eloquently as i can

it literally goes beyond that, its not some kind of moment against food because i feel little bit sick like some moody female, i literally dont feel hunger anymore. and i took valium recreationally once or twice like i said, not because i was prescribed it

lack of appetite is not common in ibs, from what i have seen online. im really not very articulate right now, but i really dont associate a loss of hunger with ibs

i dont think either of those cancers are relevant to this discussion. loss of appetite is not a typical presentation in either of those cancers. and no they have not

Have you tried dropping the booze?

yes for weeks on end

does not restore my appetite (hunger)

literally feels like my stomach is disconnected from my brain, my stomach will rumble, but i feel absolutely no innate craving for food, ever

?

An uncommon sign for a common pathology is still way more likely than an extremly rare cancer (for your age).
You shouldnt underestimate ultrasound anyway, its not some shitty test just to give you something to do, it is effective. If its negative its a very good news.
Maybe more things you could tell? Something on skin, feeling strong heartbeat, feeling burning stomach, loss of weight, food preferences, amount of booze intake etc

it's psychosomatic fucktard

you're feeling physical hunger (your stomach is rumbling) but you're convinced that it's not really hunger because you want to see a symptom

Smells of psyco cunt

noo. i left hypochondria behind about 8 years. i am genuinely not a hypochon and am trying to get to the bottom of this physical ailment. feeling hungry is part of what makes us feel alive, and i have not felt that way since about august 8th~

yes, i have reassured myself with this idea at times, that some weird, unexplained manifestation of bodily function is more likely than pancan. i hope you're right, but both are rare. if i was any older than i am, doctors would be taking a VERY close look at me. but no, there is nothing like that honestly

im simply trying to get to the bottom of this chronic, persistent lack of hunger

how many people have to tell you you're fucking retarded before you consider that just maybe it's you and your massively unlikely amateur diagnosis and not the entire rest of the world that's wrong

what do you mean by that? i literally never feel hungry anymore, i could go for days without craving food, and would only break this fast because i know better than some sick, stray dog. if it aint cancer, then it's something very weird

>then it's something very weird
yes it is
it's your delusional brain

over the course of the last 4 months, i have literally jumped at the chance of such a middle class, matter of fact answer for my woes. 'it's just anxiety man, don't worry man'.that's the easy answer, i know too well. you think i dont want this shit settled? you think its not killing me? i have felt completely calm at times, drug aided or otherwise, and have still never felt the kind of indescribable craving for food that i felt that i did before all this bullshit started. THAT is why i'm worried

just stick a finger in your ass. if you see a Veeky Forums post then you're fucked.

You will be greatly rewarded in Valhalla for this mighty comment my friend user. I praise thee.

This guy doesn't have cancer, he has hypochondria.

Oh the wonderful things you see on Veeky Forums amirite?

lel this points no closer to hypochondria than it does an ill guy seriously worried about his health

hypochon is not always the answer, but how i wish it where

You're pathetic.

>an ill guy seriously worried about his health

So he shitposts on a Malaysian basket weaving forum instead of going to a doctor? Nah, I call bullshit.

Lmao this guy needs help.

do you even read

clearly i have already been to the doctor

but 'going to the doctor' isnt some quick closure

>I've been to the doctor and been told that there's nothing wrong with me.
>So can you guys, on the internet, with no way to examine me or do even a single test on me help

You have a mental illness, nothing more.

Wow you did your homeworks indeed

I'm bumping this thread. I lost 60 pounds in a short amount of time, i fear to have blood in my feces (who are really weird). Can i see a doctor and show the pic of my feces ?

Or it would be innapropriate ?

Medfag here. Yes i would. The prefered way would be that you bring it in a tupperware och rigid plastic bag.

Thanks user i took an appointement for tommorow.

doctors tell young people that a lot. if i did have cancer i'd think it more like they tell me that than not. i've not had conclusive testing

It can be dozens of thing not related to cancer, the digestive system is still a mystery. Colon's or intestinal inflammation, Crohn's disease, gastritis and in your case, high anxiety.

I supposed you did a blood test ?

yeah, not done cancer markers, but liver, pancreatic enzymes etc all normal. which by no means excludes cancer

i find the anxiety thing hard to accept, as i say valium has never made me feel hungry. and i dont really have the other symptoms of any of those conditions you mention. if it was lack of appetite alone i'd probs just put it down to some weird hormonal thing, but the gassy stools along with that makes me worried. i'll probs ask for a CT scan, all in all this thread has calmed me rho the fact what i've said isn't screaming out to anyone as cancer

They will never accept a CT scan for this little amount of evidence (litteraly your gut's feeling). And i'm pretty sure if they did and found nothing your anxiety will focus on something else.

You can do an invasive endoscopy/coloscopy but if there is no blood in your poo, it means no cancer.

There are others treatements than valium. If you stopped drinking it can induce an appetite loss. You should do some cognitive-behavioural therapy(CBT), it's very effective.

i'll just exaggerate the pain

easy

Out of curiosity, why a CT scan ?

It's not a miraculous thing that scan all your body that's why i said you will certainly be disappointed.

Do you feel the need to drink alcohol before you can eat ?

i'll go for upper abdominal. liver, pancreas etc

and no

Why are you faggots still bumping this thread? OP's obviously that guy who keeps making threads about him having cancer (it was pancreatic cancer last time), but is clearly just a hypochondriac.

If you're too autistic to simply stop replying, at least sage this piece of shit thread.
