Dostoyevsky

The White Nights
>NEET protagonist with zero friends
>Jealous of normalfags headed to the country for holiday
>Meets a grill crying about Chad and makes her his waifu
>Affects the manner of a chivalrous "white knight" in an attempt to impress the girl with his knowledge of polite behavior
>Falls immediately in love despite many clear signs of disinterest
>Keeps talking as if his life was a novel he was reciting
>Gets friend zoned by his Waifu
>In the end she runs away with Chad
Is there a more /r9k/ character in all of literature than "The Dreamer" from White Nights?

/r9k/ is about spite and hatred for women and saying "peepee poopoo" and posting porn all day. Not just being a naive young guy in love who doesn't know better and has an excessively romantic idea of life.

that's true until they find a normalfag grill to obsess over

A "Stacy"?

/r9k/ is Elliot Rodgers, not the White Nights guy. He's just naive, they're bitter, hateful nobodies full of resentment toward those who are normal, because they aren't. They make up stories about sibling incest and torturing women. The White Nights guy was just lonely and naively hopeful, he's a tragic character, not a repulsive asshole.

>/r9k/
>white knight
They don't find normalfags girls to obsess over. it seems you're bitter as fuck about frogs for some reason

why does it seem i'm bitter?

>The White Nights guy was just lonely and naively hopeful, he's a tragic character, not a repulsive asshole.
Who the fuck do you think he became after she fucked him over though.

>robots were always bitter and hateful
They're overly romantic weirdos who don't fit in with our modern hedonistic world. They seem bitter because they got slapped by the shitiness of people after opening up they're naive hearts to them.

this story hurts to read

cringeworthy moments in the life of user:
>sophomore year of college
>talking to cute blonde
>she seems responsive to my jokes
>try to be assertive and ask her out to get dinner after class
>she asks me what my favorite book is
>tell her White Nights
>she decides not to get dinner with me

Maybe Werther

Yeah! He became just like us I-i mean the embittered r9k shitposters who are working to ruin this board!

You forgot alt right.

Christ can you imagine how many millions of people like this man and this girl died because of men like Hitler and Stalin?

They did a good job then

well dosto was young and romantic in this one( which is not in my opinion necessarily cringe).

anyways i like to put this book in contrast with his later book "the eternal husband"(even though the themes are not entirely the same) .there you see the protagonist openly humiliating a naive husband.in a way it was as if the latter dosto was mocking his younger self for his innocence.

i believe this contrast it's one of the effects that happened to dosto after his siberian exile.

They are exactly like Eliot Rodger

This is not that great of a story by dosto...and one of his earliest.

anyway, you r9k fags need to stop projecting yourselves onto Dosto's protagonists. They are nothing like you.

See:

Former /r9k/ here, still virgin, ama

Is it true that all people from /r9k/ are repulsive assholes, who shouldn't relate to Dosto's characters because they themselves are narcissistic, irredeemable garbage who should accept nobody cares about them and also that they should die?

No.

However, when I was reading Notes from the Underground, my mood towards the main character varied between some kind of camraderie, and cold spite at him for being such a coward.

No, that's Veeky Forums.

I agree that people from Veeky Forums are worse than people from /r9k/. Anybody priding themselves on leading a "literary" life is a hollow, puffed up jackass nine times out of ten.

You summarized his entire ouvre.

I actually did one of these things

>old hag
>cute

Is there a name for this style of deconstructing a book into a series of somewhat-spurious plot points to make it seem like garbage? It's like a fallacy of reduction or something.

Greentexting.
