I've never been but I imagine Edinburgh is.
It's got old world charm, culture and literary tradition, but it's still down to earth enough and not a total meme like Paris or some other meme place.
It's also cold, but not too cold. It's the right climate for literature.

Ilion.
Underrated comment.
Vienna is pretty Veeky Forums, familia.
Espacially during the somewhat colder seasons.
Ages and ages ago:
>Athens, Rome
A little while back:
>Vienna, Paris, St. Petersburg
More recently:
>Brussels, Prague, Gothenburg
Modern world:
>New York, London
Futuristic:
>Los Angeles, Vancouver, Bangkok, Mexico City
Permanent rip in time:
>Rio de Janeiro, Jerusalem, Pyongyang
All of these cities are decent places to write literature and many have provided safe refuge for writers who later published their works from other locations for tangible benefits. Anyone "in the know" has been or plans to visit most of these, and understands the various significances at play here.
found the actual pseud. I have seen the kind of art community they foster, pure garbage.
