The thing about Kurtz is that with only empty words he was capable of establishing a cult and scaring the shit out of Marlow; yet even a man like that died like any other. Civilization is no different: like Kurtz's Intended they delude themselves into thinking they are meant for something great and so they trample on whatever comes under their feet for their love of ideas.
