None of the ones in the picture are my favorite. The Pareto distribution is my favorite.
> figure for reference
I just posted a random pic I found on Google. Pareto is one of my favorites as well.
Gamma is muh fave, bcoz a good model
for most data, but Beta is a close second
for the same reason.
I can contribute pic related and this
UNIFORM

F
O
R
M
poison or cauchy
Oh, I like Poisson too. So many good ones to choose from.
What is that figure from? I need a good reference on stats and probability since my college course had no book and was taught by a foreigner who could not speak english (he was a solid guy though)
[math]\Beta[/math] distribution
Dirichlet. It's a distribution with support over the simplex of points in [math]\mathbb{R}^\text{# of shape parameters}[/math] whose coordinates are positive and add up to one, so in a sense it's a distribution over multinomial distributions.
I wish I understood the Dirichlet process.
chi^2
half of them look virtually the same
scale free
What is that?

the alpha distribution because it reminds me of my alpha social status
