>Dawkins
Seriously, his selfish gene concept is one of the worst misconceptions to enter evolutionary biology. He had some other ideas that were alright, such as dinner vs plate and evolvability.
Memetics was another great blunder.

He and his pal Daniel Dennet are from the reductionist kind while complexity science will tell you the whole cannot be reduced to its parts.

Daniel Kahneman has most certainly contributed to our thinking.
John Gray, I like him for warning about the dangers of hubris. But I don't consider him the greatest thinker.

Who are the others?

>dinner vs plate
What's that one?

It's mostly embarrassing to hear him say anything about biology for a decade or so btw. Like he'll spout stuff that's like 70's evo psych shit.

Kahneman does good research but has shitty ethics. No rigor in my opinion.

I searched for it, and it is not the exact phrase. It is called the life-dinner principle.

It comes down to this: a predator can miss its dinner, but a prey ending up like dinner has no future. Really simple, actually. Nothing all too groundbreaking.

Donald Trump

I have only read about his cognitive bias research.
I heard he also did research on happiness, but I hold the belief that such a thing is pretty pointless, so never bothered reading about that.

>Krasznahorkai

His novels aren't very good. The prose style is very pretentious. I bet he isn't even a virgin.

Name a better living author.

Bumping for all the intellectuals who are browsing lit who have some view on this.
