When will cats evolve to become more humanoid?

When will cats evolve to become more humanoid?

3 million years

When they lose their tails.

20 years

You meant devolve, right?

Right?

When they stop being disgusting, dirty, filthy, diseased, mindless beasts. I.e., NEVER.

This got me thinking, what if we select cats based on their ability to solve problems (like opening doors on their own) breed them and repeat.
Will the average intelligence of those cats increase steadily over time or will they encounter a ceiling at some point?

I came in to post something like this. I think we should be doing this.

Well people have started doing it with foxes to domesticate them, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with cats.

It seems strange that nobody has done this. Even if it was just some well-off eccentric, for their own amusement.

When will humans evolve to become more cat-like?

>try to kick a cat
>cries as it flies through the air in pain
>try to kick a pigeon
>escapes before you can connect

Birds > Cats

Would take a lot of patience and generations of breeding that probably outpaced their own life to create a measurably more intelligent cat

Someone could easily have made a start by now.

Kickstarter?

>Cat
>Always lands on four legs
>pigeon
>lands on two legs
Cats>birds

I could show you plenty of pigeons in my city whomst'd've wouldnt escape even a relatively slow kick to the head

>That pic
>Please, God, let evolution be wrong.

It would not take a lot to be more intelligent than a cat.

Also, dont worry about giving them better brains -- give them thumbs, and that'll take care of itself.

>Cats can be domesticated

When anime is made real.

This, absolutely, needs to happen

you have it backwards .
when will humanity become more cat like.
for they are our master race.
