Quality thread you've got there, friend.

I was never a fan of those extrapolations, but it should be fairly obvious that blowing millions of tons of CO2 into he atmosphere and measurably changing the composition of it will have at least some global effects. Sure, it's uncomfortable as blowing CO2 into the atmosphere is kind of the foundation of modern civilization, but it is kind of plausible.

But can you prove that a wizard isn't removing all of the excess heat trapped by the greenhouse effect?
You cannot, marxist.

positive feedbacks not found

Anyone who says hurr is a "brainlet" to use you fools' terminology.

That being said, carbon dioxide makes plant life thrive!

I heard it does wonders for human health too, just go out, lock yourself in a garage with your car, turn it on for 15 minutes and see what happens.

you are thinking of carbon monoxide because it binds to hemoglobin with a higher affinity than oxygen, carbon dioxide is not an issue on its own

Place a bag over your head keep it there for 15 minutes if CO2 is so good.

CO2 is not a problem, we know very well how to reduce it's concentration with some advanced technology called trees, If the CO2 concentration will ever be too high for human civilization, we will plant trees. Untill then no need to worry.

There is no direct effect of CO2 on human health in these concentrations (hundreds of ppm). CO2 concentrations in closed rooms are usually closer to 1000 ppm without any impact on human health known.

But CO2 still isn't bad. Not oxygen is bad

Large amounts of CO2 in the bloodstream is acidic which causes protein denaturation

> I trust my way of life on the belief that everything will happen linearly, no such thing as tipping points hurr durr

Yeah but the tropics heat over a tipping point and the and the subtropics dry up.
Both of these will result in huge losses in food production.

Funny how you acknowledge limiting factors for humans like oxygen. But when told the limiting factor for plants is rarely CO2 and that increasing CO2 leads to drought and flooding that kill plants you cry conspiracy.

I wonder, over the course of 5 billion years, what are the chances of getting a false positive like this? Probably pretty high.

That video is why America needs a wall. And why Canada needs one even more.

Tree planting is nonviable since it requires a lot of land that you cannot use for anything else. It is also costly to produce trees, plant them, and keep them safe from forest fires. The cheapest way to reduce carbon dioxide is to not emit it in the first place.

A concentration of 900ppm is not possible because of the peak CO2 problem. It would require burning three times the known fossil reserves.

Source?

That's like thinking a bandage will heal your gun headshot. The subtropics is between latitudes 23.5-40.
That's from Miami to NY.
So US food production will get fucked up too, even if not a single Mexican comes in.

>So US food production will get fucked up too
Yes and if food in America is going to be that scares imagine how bad things will get in central America.

And it's not just the food shortage itself that will be a problem.
Food shortages cause wars, and the governments of central America will not survive long at all if people start starving.

I keep telling people to move to Canada now so that when shit hits the fan then all the smart people who actually listen to evidence will be in the place that benefits the most. Canada will be the world leader soon and our positive image means we're not targeted for hate which is very helpful.

Idiot. Once it gets to 450 ppm/2C, the permafrost in Canada and Russia will pump CO2 and CH4 into the atmosphere and when the sea heats up, its CO2 will also leave the sea into the atmosphere.

It's basically like the fire escaping the fireplace and now the curtains and the furniture are on fire.
It doesn't help anymore that you stop adding logs into the fireplace - positive feedbacks have taken over.

why dont we just make camps so we can that we can concentrate the co2 in?

Both Canada and Russia get more farm land

why not just build giant pipelines for sea water and fill the sahara dessert?

Salt water on plants?

People hate Russia because it's not sneaky like Canada. They openly deny climate change and work towards it. Canada recognizes that it's too late and has improved its image so that we are not targeted for making everyone else's lives shit. When the nukes fly who really wants to target Canada?

>They openly deny climate change
WTF are you rambling about

youtube.com/watch?v=pbrKLnh8wLA

>sahara desert
>plants worth saving

Nooooo!
T2 is preparing to tax the country into socialist oblivion and the climate meme is a big part of that agenda. Sask is the hold out right now but climate heretic Brad Wall will soon be ex-communicated and replaced with a climate friendly communist.

In fact the entire population of the country is being replaced with globalist friendlies who are happy to escape whatever shithole they came from and the problems were not climate related but that won't stop the climate cronies from making the claim. Muh...climate refugees!

We could have solved the problem 40 years ago if it weren't for anti-science (((environmentalists))).

So what does salt water in Sahara solve then?

the rising sea levels

the rising sea levels so i can still visit ocean islands

That's not a problem until 2100, the food shortages will be in the evening news every night by 2030 - Syria's explosion was queued by 5 years of drought + Turkey building 12 huge dams to solve it's own drought.

we can feed everyone if we remove all cattle and use all corn and soy for corn meal for human use

...

>Syria's explosion was queued by 5 years of drought
Is that you Bill Nye?

Openly saying one thing and acting in a different way entirely is not uncommon. Their media says it's a hoax to shift blame off themselves but people experiencing climate change themselves know that Russia is a bunch of liars. They will be one of the first to get the axe in wartime.

Good luck with counting the whole world suddenly turning into a hippie commune.

hurr durr

take your pills

If the problem is CO2 in the air, and if we can't plat trees everywhere, why don't we make ivy grow over every house? a side benefit would be improved isolation from the outside, saving money on keeping the houses warm/cool.

I am genuinely asking, to me it sounds so simple there has to be something I am not thinking about to make it not a good idea.

im find with them not, means less people to compete with when they die off and i can eat all the meat

fine*

you'll die of the wars and terrorism caused by this long before actually starving or drowning

this

Samefag and/or retards, in what university were you taught that "von Caemmerer et al. (2012)" is a valid source entry?

I'd bet the effect would be negligible.

>CO2 is good for plants
>so
>let's fill up the entire world with CO2

Really makes you think.

>terrorism
>flyover state
hue hue i live innawoods

so the jews are really plants?

Brainlet detected.
The excess CO2 will kill you long before the lack of oxygen.

That only affects poor dirt farmers. I get my food from the supermarket. Stupid poorfag.

Depends on how many houses you cover, if you start doing whole cities it should be relevant.
I'd some pen and paper math if I knew anything about this sort of things.

Jesus Christ, brainlets should be crucified.

not getting the concentration camp joke

>Source?
Sanity check.
900ppm-400ppm=500ppm
500ppm = 3900 Gt CO2 (cdiac.ornl.gov/pns/convert.html)
CO2 airborne fraction = 50% (arxiv.org/abs/0704.2782)
7800 Gt CO2 required for +500ppm
Fossil reserves equivalent 2800 Gt CO2 (math.350.org from BP Stat. Rev.)
7800/2800=2.786

tfw you're comparing antarctic carbon dioxide levels to highest observed levels on earth, with different measurement methods. Yep, completely perfectly reasonable data comparison.

>It was only under 300 ppm in the Arctic
The Arctic has higher atmospheric CO2 than most of the globe, so if anything the comparison is making past CO2 and current CO2 closer than they actually are. Not to mention that there are plenty of non-Arctic proxies for CO2 and they agree with the Arctic record.

I said antarctic not arctic.

Refer.

Wouldn't you be dead of asphyxiation before that became a concern?
