Randall Mills / Brilliant Light Power

What does Veeky Forums know about this guy?

>Dr. Randell L. Mills, a Harvard trained medical doctor, who developed this generator and the physical theory behind it, will be remembered throughout the remainder of human history as the single greatest being to ever have lived. A billion trillion years from now, people will still be discussing his theories and his invention. Mills invention is no less transformative than the discovery of fire. It’s a far greater achievement than the combustion engine or the telephone.

>In one fell swoop, Mills will have overturned the standing theories of physics, dismantled the power grid, put an end to virtually all air pollution, put an end to poverty, put an end to wars over energy resources, opened up the entire planet to human habitation, put a serious dent in the ability of politics to control people, and saved limitless lives in the future due to a lack of power.

>To be alive at the same time as Mills is a cosmic treat. The man is a living legend that has yet to be recognized. Like all great transformative scientists before him, academia has viciously attacked him, his theories and his company, on both a personal and professional level. Mills is truly the modern day Galileo. Like Mills, Galileo was viciously attacked by academia for his ideas, even though they are basis for all modern science today, to the point where Galileo spent the last days of his life under house arrest for scientific heresy.

Critics say it lacks corroborating scientific evidence, and is a relic of cold fusion. Critical analysis of the claims have been published in the peer reviewed journals Physics Letters A, New Journal of Physics, Journal of Applied Physics, and Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics. These works note that the proposed theory is inconsistent with quantum mechanics, and that the proposed hydrino states are unphysical and incompatible with key equations that have been experimentally verified many times.

In 1999, the Nobel prize winning physicist Philip Warren Anderson said he is "sure that it's a fraud",[6] and in the same year another Nobel prize winning physicist, Steven Chu, called it "extremely unlikely".[7] In 2009, IEEE Spectrum magazine characterized it as a "loser" technology because "[m]ost experts don't believe such lower states exist, and they say the experiments don't present convincing evidence" and mentioned that Wolfgang Ketterle had said the claims are "nonsense".[8] BLP has announced several times that it was about to deliver commercial products based on Mill's theories but has not delivered a working product.[8]

>criticizes empirical results because conflicts with theory
>discards results in favor of theory

what results?

>claims he's proven physics wrong
>18 years later he still can't provide a demonstration
cranks really are curious creatures

I'm not trolling and only learned about the guy today. What do you mean he hasn't provided a demo in 18 years? Looks like it's been validated by 5 different groups. And what is this if not a demo youtube.com/watch?v=NfGgHD8e9sM

if it works where's the final product?

>And what is this if not a demo
it's a minute long video of a bright-ass light and a hissing noise
it's completely unclear what's even supposed to be happening, let alone how this is supposed to show that it is

I could make that with a floodlight and a sander

That's an engineering issue not a physics issue.

brilliantlightpower.com/validation-reports/

>During April-May 2016, five independent third-party validations of Brilliant Light Power’s SunCell Technology were carried out at BrLP’s facilities in Cranbury, NJ. In each case, a scientist from academia or industry supervised and directed experiments and measurements, with BrLP staff acting in a support role to facilitate the work of the validator. Experimental set-ups were built from components, and instruments were calibrated in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications under the supervision of the validators. Four validation methods were employed to substantiate the SunCell® reaction power levels. These test results all demonstrate up to megawatt net power when compared to reference reactions.

Our conviction that our current understanding of science is infallible is the biggest impediment to breakthrough discoveries.

>I could make that with a floodlight and a sander

Correct, but then you would be a crank
And this guy isn't
Now please

Who?

It's funny because none of the reporters seems to aknowledge that they indeed wrote these reports. The only place you can find them are on those chains of retard websites.

Get of Veeky Forums Mr. President!

Not an argument.

shhh...

>The purported energy source is based on Mills' assertion that the electron in a hydrogen atom can drop below the lowest energy state known as the ground state.

It's alright guys, he's just another crank. We can all let the thread 404 now.

What could be lower?

Wouldn't you essentially be annihilating mass at that point beyond standard physics?

Mass is literally transforming almost entirely to energy.

Also, how would you contain something that temperature?

+1

Supposedly the magic sun device contains solar cells on the inside. I turned it off after that point. Its another flash in the pan of a dude whos been promising miracles for the last 18 years

>very high power density
>that is used to shine light on photovoltaics
>that converts to electricity
>instead of using the heat to drive a turbine
even IF this wasn't a hoax, whoever designed this has made a lot of incredibly stupid decisions

A bunch of oven mittens

the same way you contain the high temperatures used in metal forging

saw the guy on cnn. says alot about cnn
