There are far more than 2 genders. In humans there are only 2 sexes usually, although intersex births do happen rarely. In plants sexes are all sorts of crazy configurations, and in asexual life there are no genders. This STEM student must have never taken biology courses.
If transgenders are that way because their brains didn't develop in their respective organic sex in the womb for some unknown reason, why it's not considered a disease of the brain?
body dysmorphia is already considered a mental illness.
Well, there are even documentaries about the "gender revolution", that's normalization if I've ever seen one.
There are also documentaries about serial killers.
well if it was a biology lecture, then the student is an idiot because the 2 gender system doesn't apply to planets. also the student asked while the prof is talking which is plain rude
Gender is not sex.
Sex in humans is determined by the presence or absence of a Y chromosome.
this was supposed to be a joke thread. here's another one:
a doctor gets a patient into an mri machine and says "let's give them a spin"
/pol/ is so cancerously retarded I don't know what jokes are anymore.
>stem student
>he means computer science
a genetics tachyon interrupts a lecture on jokes
student: wingless -/-
prof: what do you call a wingless fruit fly?
Can you give examples of the chromosome sets determining each of these genders?
Thnx
Except there are cases in which chromosomes do not determine sex.
a stem cell interrupts fibrosis
stem cell: time for regeneration
FGF: please don't interrupt. differentiate into a fibroblast.
fibroblast: *secretes collagen*
>it's the boogeyman's fault I'm obsessed
>Apagender– A feeling of apathy toward one’s gender that causes one to have no desire to look further into it.

A CS student interrupts a lecture on genders.
Student: There are only 10 genders.
Prof: Can you name them all?
Student: Male XOR female.
Absolutely not in humans.
So if the contemporary definition of gender doesn't refer to the biological sex whose prototypical case you are behaviourally nearest to; how can it be distinguished from behavior itself?
If the differences in behavior with the prototypical case are so distressing to the individual why is it not appropriate to issue hormones evocative of the prototypical behaviours of their biological sex rather than causing further dissonance via supplementation with the hormones of the other biological sex?
