I want to make large quantities of iron oxide powder. I have access to thousands of pounds of iron powder. What would be the best method of doing this? I have fucked around with electrolysis and metal rods, but I'm not sure how that would work with the powder which will just be settled at the bottom of the bucket.

Perhaps you could heat it until it oxidizes thoroughly in air. Maybe use highly wet air.
If all else fails blow really hot steam through it and use the hydrogen produced by this to heat the steam

just get it wet and spread it around outside in trays of some sort. get it wet and put it somewhere that will be damp and misty in the morning and fairly dry but shady through the day. stir occassionally.
