Does Veeky Forums pay for education?

>Is your college education subsidized by the State, i.e it's "free"? If not how much do you pay?
In my case it is, but since I'm studying medicine the specialisation is on me to pay. The other downside is that my country is a corrupt shithole.

20.000 USD per semester

pic very related

>The Land of the Free claims another victim

At least it's not the most expensive university in the world.

52k per year here

NYU?

! where?

I pay 180€ per year

USC

I guess not the most expensive in the world, but one of the most. I see there's like 8 other colleges in the 52k range and Columbia at 55k.

A part of school choice is deciding to not gouge your wallet, otherwise I wouldn't have gone to where I did.

Mine is a state university but also was 20,000 on campus and is currently costing me 10,000 a semester off campus. I hate the fact that my family is middle class so I can't get any funding for my education. My family refuses to pay for school so I get most of it through outside loans. It's so fucking unfair.

I'll be around 25k in debt when I graduate

Are you brazilian OP? I'm also on a free college, great teaches, good infrastructure, decent library and, most important, lunch is 45 cents (food is decent enough)

99% subsidized by my prestigious $60k/year LAC

the perks of having good scores

be born intelligent kids.

25 MEXICAN cents a year. I obviously give a donation caua3 I'm not a fucking cunt.

My father pays for it. Tbh I wouldn't have gone to college if he didn't offer to pay for it. I hate debt and went to a technical school for high school anyway.

About 200€ a semester

No. I get paid to go to a private uni. So no debt and I'm not a leech.

I'm going to a shitty state school, but I get free tuition plus about 2k per semester extra. Between working as a tutor and research assistant I'm pretty comfy.

Another year and I'll be off to grad school. I'm hoping that I can get a solid stipend wherever I wind up.

grandmother does it and it's like $10,000 per year for literally everything so she doesn't even care.

So get your own place, say you're not a dependent, and apply for grants. I went from getting nothing living at home to getting 12k/year in grants.

USA - State University- 3k a year since I'm instate and I just commute from my house.

Feels great.

In Israel academical education ain't free, I study as part as my military training, so in my case the I get an annual scholarship from the military.

>tfw National Merit Finalist in HS
>tfw full ride

>medical school in the U.S.
>45k/year tuition

at least the pay is good

I pay around 10k aud which is entirely on an interest free government loan. I have a scholarship for 12.5k a year which I invest most of

No.
My mom pays the ~400 Euros necessary.

tuition is 6.5k a year and my financial aid totals to 11k a year. I get 4.5k deposited in my account every 2 semesters and free tuition :). I'm just poor...

>I'm just a shitskin...
ftfy

I'm Argentinian

>grad student in chemistry
>everything free including healthcare, vision, dental
>they pay me
>I'm in an amazing project where I constantly rub shoulders with people who want to collaborate on interesting projects
>absolutely 100% positive this was the right decision
>been here almost a year and I keep working harder because I want to
>boss is chill and has me next in line as golden boy

Feels so fucking good. If you like research, go to grad school.

I'm taking out $12,500 in loans a year to attend a state university's undergraduate program.

My EFC has been zero for four years running, I've applied for work study every year, and I've never been awarded work study even when I file my FAFSA on the first day.

>White male privilege

Depends on the country. Where do you live ?

Nope. Every day I go to a public library in a city I don't pay taxes to.

I have my own place but I'm still depended until I get emancipated. I don't qualify for most grants because my gpa is garbage.

Nope, parents / grandparents did with investments. Zero debt, just work in the summer.

The fact no one wants to face: the young white middle class male is the one getting the most institutionally fucked right now

>government paid for undergrad
>scholarship for MSc
>funded PhD
>industry sponsor to top up my stipend

Feels good to be Scottish.

THANKS FOR PAYING FOR MY EDUCATION ENGLAND

0. When I'm done with my math undergraduate I'll have about 15k $ in loan becouse of rent, food etc.

I paid some 100 PLN for student ID and minor operating costs.

Rest is free. You would need to pay to retake some subjects though. Brainlet tax

>comes from poor as dirt family
>public education until M.Sci
>free as in free beer.
>got a scholarship for being a good boy
>poor as dirt don't pay taxes in my original country
>scholarship was free as economist's in free lunch
>go abroad. Also got a scholarship, tuition fee covered. 2nd M.Sci
>Now funded PhD (officially a scholarship tho) still abroad.

The bad thing is that the country I immigrated to is fucking indebted. I'll work as a Bolshevik my whole active life, paying for an increasing number of pensions for old people and will not receive one myself because the system would have collapsed by then.

>'ll work as a Bolshevik my whole active life, paying for an increasing number of pensions for old people and will not receive one myself because the system would have collapsed by then

Isn't it like that in pretty much the entire Western world?

Yeah, probably. I am not in the Western world anymore though.
But let's take a look...
>west is fucked by SJW vs far right
>Japan population is getting older and is likely to collapse
>south Korea are the hardest work slaves and are ruined by overzealous feminism
>India lol
>china is too polluted and will either strengthen its dictatorship-like power or be weakened by Chinese wanting to live by western world standards
>Middle east is a one trick pony and is relevant as long as there is petrol.

Where is the Eldorado of our generation?

I went to a UC. Most of mine was subsidized by the state or scholarships. I ended up 10k in debt by the end and that was mostly housing expenses since I got no help from parent and my aid money didn't cover all of the rent. I could pay it off now, but the debt actually helps me get a housing loan so I won't pay it off yet. I can't imagine these fucks who pay full price. Seems like natural selection since they'll be in too much debt to want to have kids at the same time.

As a matter of fact, I earn a 15k salary

I live in Sweden so I get 330USD a month

You live in Sweden, why the fuck would they pay you in USD.

My parents pay the ~500€ per year
most of that is however for the student ticket

Kek, 100% thisssssss

He is converting, you amerishit

Not only that, I get paid 99 euros per month in scholarships to study.

Not too much but definetly better than nothing.
