Is this the relaunch?

No, not really sure what happened to that. Think it was for SES10/11, but the date seem to have been pushed back.

expendable?

Nope

How long til RUD?

40% chance of favorable weather pretty much means 0% chance of launch.

...

This is a fully expendable new rocket, due to the high payload. Echostar 23 is about 5.5 tonnes and the excess capacity will likely be used to launch it to higher than a normal GTO, to reduce the propellant cost of the circularization burn, and thereby increase the satellite's lifespan.

This is probably one of the old contracts that SpaceX signed when they didn't have much negotiating power to make margin for reuse.

They're still planning to do the relaunch before the end of the month. It'll carry SES 10, a 5.3 tonne GEO comsat. I believe there will be a recovery attempt. Obviously, it will have to be downrange, on the drone ship.

>They're still planning to do the relaunch before the end of the month
Yeah im hoping for it, but then again they were talking about a February launch in Desember/January, so hopefully it wont slip any further.

Right now they're saying March 30th, which is a little *too* close to push back again isn't it?

I mean unless they do that thing where the entire thing is set up on the launchpad and then somebody goes "5... 4... 3... 2... lol j/k we'll try again later"

>Hold hold hold....for 2 months...tihihi"

They aren't even gonna land the first stage? Why should I want to watch this then? Isn't this just like any other launch of any other company in history?

MEME ON, DREAD MAN

Well, there might be explosions.
