My ancestor escaped that clusterfuck by faking his death and changed his last name from one Irish name to another Irish name, and fled. My adoptive grandpa and his brother(Napoleon and Julius) from the south also had an Irish name, which is my legal last name. all three of my last names are Irish and I have no idea why.
