Should I read the Quran? I heard it's relatively short. What's the best translation?

there are no accurate translations, the actual Quran is only written in arabic while the message of the Quran can be found in countless languages

Pikthall is good, but a bit archaic.
Arberry is also good, as he tries to keep the rhythm. There are a few inaccuracies in his translation, though.
Aisha Bewley did a good translation.
The translation by Muhsin Khan and Muhammad al Hilali is also worth checking out, as the notes are references to relevant hadith.
