Methane lakes in Siberia

Have we fucked up to the point of no return or is there still a chance?

What are You going to do about it?

The 3 worst greenhouse gases are
water vapor, co2 and methane ch4

guess what methane breaks up into:

CH4 + 2 O2 --> CO2 + 2 H2O

>What are You going to do about it?
Exploit the new ressource available and sell it.

>Have we fucked up to the point of no return or is there still a chance?

That climatologist that posts here some times wrote a few posts on that. You can read them here:

>tl;dr it's nothing to worry about.

Who are you going to sell it to if Earth can no longer host life?

What a shame. The methane predictions were being taken seriously even by the denialists.

Automated markets, silly.

It will always host us, we can live in domes for all we care. Literally fuck the other animals if they arent up to scratch.

>Be guy in picture
>lol @ the small amounts of methane coming from ice
>light on fire
>fissure between legs leading to the deposit

Not entirely convinced, but I'm not a climatoligist. Just a concerned citizen.

>live in domes
For how long? Was it worth it?

> believing the global warming doom cult

retards itt desu

For enough centuries that we can move to a new planet or clear out our own. If we have any long term future at all it is going to involve lots of lifetimes inside.

If we can send people to space, we can cover some areas in domes and greenhouses for fuck sake.

Not sure if we could survive more than a century inside a dome if we couldn't survive on a life filled planet. Cancer kills the host and dies with it.

Something kinda like that happened
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darvaza_gas_crater
s a natural gas field in Derweze, Turkmenistan, that collapsed into an underground cavern in 1971, becoming a natural gas crater.[4] Geologists set it on fire to prevent the spread of methane gas, and it has been burning continuously since then.

Well if there's no point to life other than existing, sure

Hopefully the Earth will stop hosting your life soon.

>Who are you going to sell it to if Earth can no longer host life?
Jokes on you, central banks automated algorithms will be still stimulating the market. Someone has to do something in order to increase private-sector spending and keep inflation at an optimal level.

screwing around on a bycicle for candid pictures while a nuke is going off in the background. Einstein must have been a fun guy.

I'm sure it will. No need for hostility. Don't spoil your mood :)

So your weapon is a bitter joke. Do you think it's enough?

He also was master level in photoshop

Let me guess, you don't study ecology even a little bit.
You need to be tarred feathered and chased through the streets with low voltage tasers

>denialists
brainlet detected

"denialist" is a pretty good word for someone who denies scientific evidence when it doesn't suit them.

the algae and plankton that normally turn excess CO2 into a liquid or solid, is dying out.

Probably testing a hypothesis: can the shockwave from a nuclear blast propel a man on bicycle forward from 1 km away.
