>"_____ is just applied _____"

I know a few good ones.

>communism was never properly tried
>gender is a spectrum has been proven by science
>gayness is a normal trait based of anything more scientific than plausibility.

>>philosophy bad. stem good

And just who has lead to the most accomplishments in the last 100 years?

philosophy

Computer science ; ^ )

I don't think I'm a brainlet but there was an autistic kid in my junior high who could do calculations like op's. You would ask him, he'd start doing strange hand gestures and go silent, about 10 seconds later he'd give you the answer. He really liked math, dunno why he wasn't in upper level classes.

...

>good at calculations
>must be good at Math

>talk to some communications major
>for some reason pi comes up as conversational topic
>he says something along the lines of: "I bet there is some autist who manages to recite the whole number"
>laugh it off and say: "dont be retarded m8, it is irrational."
>looks at me like I am the one who just made a retarded joke
>"what do you mean user?"
>take a moment to adjust to the question, honestly did not expect that
>"well, you can not find a rational number that is equal to pi is what I mean, you can approximate it at best."
>he literally pulls out his calculator and starts typing shit into it
>"dude your calculator is the last thing that..."
>he raises his hand to shut me up
>"whatever man"
>put in my earplugs and walk to my next class

Fucking comm brainlets, I even heard that they have a special class for discrete mathematics lmao.

> I believe in the free market
> capitalism is why our country is so great
> some people don't deserve health, food and education
> cutting taxes on corporations will create jobs
> America's too big for socialism like healthcare and free college
> America's not too big for bailing about wallstreet billionair's after they printed themselves too much money for the economy to handle
> climate change is real, just like global warming was at some point

>"well, you can not find a rational number that is equal to pi is what I mean, you can approximate it at best."
You're the one who's autistic here. Why not just say IT'S FUCKING UNPREDICTABLE INFINITE? He lacks education and you lack education skills.

>what's 6213 multiplied by 142?
approximately a million
>moonwalks away

>I'm libertarian

>... IQ ...
>Is climate change real or fake?

Irony: the post

Yeah, because telling him that it is unpredictable infinite is absolutely not the same fucking thing.
Actually I would say that my educational skills are good enough, he even might have googled the whole thing and the pure shame burned the concept into his brain.

You should have called him a cuck

>"From an evolutionary standpoint..."

Being good at arithmetic is not really what maths about, that's just like a cute parlor trick

>Invoking the axiom of infinity
Top kek lmaoing at your life

882246

>tfw good at mental math

It's not like I learned it getting my degree though

>UNPREDICTABLE INFINITE
does it even a word

How many times are you going to make this thread

"I'm not a math person"

/thread

heh

>I am not a weaboo! Having a waifu is perfectly normal!!! 3DPD

yuo don't believe in evolution, or things like evolutionary psychology?

Mad brainlet detected

At least you're self aware.

I have. Fight me.

Also:
>fight me

6213*142=882246

>Mention I'm taking a math degree
"Oh, so you're going to be a math teacher user?"

The greatest flaw in public math education has to be the failure to convince brainlets that math has applications.

They should be saying "Oh cool, so you're going to be an engineer? Yeah, I don't really like maths too much either."

>the holocaust really happened and we should make sure it never happens again

Jesus Christ that poor cat

>IQ doesn't matter!

Or if they're around 120 IQ:

>IQ tests don't matter beyond 120!

Lol. They're usually phrased something like "I had my IQ tested at 170 but I think it's bullshit."

You study the computers? Can you help me with this?
What do you mean you dont know that program? I thought you study IT. Didnt you learn that at university?

But IQ literally doesn't matter. I'm sorry you scored high on IQ and use that as an excuse for the fact that your life is garbage and you have nothing to show for the time you've spent.

And just who has lead to the most accomplishments in the last 10,000 years?

>user, you're a t. brainlet

>being so brainlet that you think IQ is a good measure of an individuals intelligence.
>not reading anything on studies of IQ scores and realizing g value varies widly from test to test
>not realizing IQ is only a useful metric for large populations.

no dont you realize that the only reason communism/socialism/retardism failed is totally because of KKKapitalism every time? /s

This

>taking an IQ test
>thinking it actually matters
>not just enjoying science for the thrill of learning

You can't make this shit up.

[math]{\color{Green} {Science} }[/math]

>Evolutionism
>Scientism
>Debating settled issues because other brainlets talk about it

"Yeah man, I have a black friend, so what?"

>"Engineering is hard man!"

"Sweden is one of the best countries in the world."

"Civil engineering is a dead end major because everything is already built." Then he continued to say "we don't need to build anything more because we're already overpopulated."

This from a college freshman.

jesus christ...

>and just who has lead to the most acomplishments in the last 100 years
>who has lead
>has lead
>lead
hmmmmmmmmmmmm

and how exactly is he wrong?

If you have overpopulation then you need to build more housing/infrastructure, he said that you don't need to build anything else for literally the same reason

Ahh yes because all of the buildings are already built and the civil engineers will never die.

>Oh, so you're a mathematician... Could you help me with this physics problem?
I loathe physics and cannot understand nor even solve a single basic problem of that shit.

It's funny how many mathematicians (myself included) actually despise science.

>hey you know math can you do something usefull with yourself?
>NO. REEEEEEEEEEEE

>I believe the earth is warming but I don't think there's enough evidence for it to be caused by humans

Basically "I'm a climate denier but I don't wanna publically say it or seem dumb about it"

>It has chemicals in it!
or
>something something chemicals are bad
or
>It's natural! (implying that makes it good)

>Intelligence doesn't exist. Everyone can be intelligent if he's going to start thinking rationally.

Literally kill yourself

...

"Just memorize the formula"

6200 x 140 -----> 62 x 14 = 62(10 + 4)

620 + 248 = 868

Add the zeros plus extra for a ballpark estimate.

868,000 + 10,000 = 878,000

Approximately 878,000. Still a ways off but whatever.

this, I can do most calculations like calculating tax, growth, sequences, shit that I use all the time for my job, but i still consider myself a brainlet because I can't do calculus for shit.

why not learn some of the calculus?

How much does a gallon weigh?

The gallon (/ˈɡælən/) is a unit of measurement for liquid capacity in both the US customary units and the British imperial systems of measurement. Three significantly different sizes are in current use: the imperial gallon defined as 4.54609 litres, which is used in the United Kingdom, Canada, and some Caribbean nations; the US gallon defined as 231 cubic inches (3.785 L), which is used in the US and some Latin American and Caribbean countries; and the least-used US dry gallon defined as 1⁄8 US bushel (4.405 L).

...

If you can do algebra you can do calculus. If you can't do algebra, learn you goddamn brainlet.

stripping this from it's context it's actually technically true

What are you on about buddy

>Religion serves no purpose
>Real Communism has never been tried
>I am smart but lazy
>I was born homo/trans
>IQ is not real
>Eugenics is immoral
>Democracy works fine even when the average population is nearing potato levels of cognition
>The free market will solve everything
To be honest, it's not surprising at all we are ruled by a elitists organization running in the shadows. Hardly anyone has the capacity to see outside the boundaries of the culture and memes they've grown with, and those who do are more often than not shackled by their own fragile minds and life's circumstances.

go on

Any person in the 115+ range can relate to the feeling of being in a room of people with zero nuance, depth and capacity to see beyond their current impulses and reactionary responses to events in daily life. Those people are the average of the population, and just as slight deviation in IQ and you're already feeling isolated in the masses.
Picture being in the 180+ range, the world is nothing but a multitude of chessboard games sessions going on, where the opponents are mere potatoes. It explains perfectly well why the 1% of the world owns it all. How could they not?

>"Biochemistry?! So you know how to make bombs/meth/poison?!"

Fucking end me

>
Are you 15?

Are you perhaps a Libertarian Atheist that praises S.T.EM?

I mean containment fucked up a lot of democracies that had an economic policy based on communism. But communism fails mmkay because humans are naturally greedy, not because America fucked every communist regime in the world.

>Make America great again

>I'm with her

same shit, different tie color

Assuming standard base 10: 882,246. But something tells me that's not right.

>this is a meme usually accompanied by
[insert loose argument here]

>Feel the bern

>I want to get big, but not that big!

>If you really knew your topic you could explain it to me in a simple way

> purposely explaining simple concepts in convoluted ways to appear smart

What a brainlet, he doesn't know that pi is an infinite number.

>I am a woman!

>the water level in American toilets makes sense

Every time I see pictures of your retarded toilets with enough water in the bowl to tickle your ass hairs I just wonder how you people haven't been eliminated by natural selection by now.

But how much of it is caused directly by humans and what laws can be enacted that are actually effective instead of feel-good regulations?
