Social construct is not an argument. It is a word. Everything is a construct because you cant objectively experience out of our own reality in mind but just the phenomena we construct and share in language. This is a debate for philosophy of science and methodology which creates the elementary base positions most scientists stand on. Positivists will say we can semiobjectively see the reality out there. It DOESN'T mean all races right now are equal and unidentifiable (which is obvious as anyone can point out a nigger vs a non). What it means is there is no far reaching genetic difference between races, meaning that there is no sub-species division. There are of course, differences between the populations currently, but that's not a difference that's consistent with some 100 generation evolution; it's just an effect from the past few generations based on income, living conditions, etc. The problem with your (incorrect) line of reasoning would be that you'd think could take someone from a disadvantaged race, give them a good environment, and they'd succeed. It's true that this makes up for ~ 1/2 of the disparity, but there is a disparity of ~ a few generations that currently exists that has a genetic basis. This definitely doesn't define all blacks, for instance (as they're not a homogenous group), but one can state that there's genetics that distinguish one general population from the other (though the "population" has fairly loose boundaries).
